Yeah it only covers the back protecting the ring gear. The cover on the back is like 16g and dents really easy. I'm designing a 3rd member cover really soon that will cover from the pinion to the back of the diff.

Yeah that was the plan :D i went a little over board with the sanding disk and the cover has a few ripples in it but I'm fine with it.

hey jerry for your 33s you had to grind off your pinch weld obviously im guessing, anything else?? do you still rub while off road?

are you running spacers in the front?

and if you are did you need to beat the firewall in so you dont rub?

LOL I did a little more then the pinch weld. I cut all that off and trimmed everything else sticking out beat the hell out of the fender wall and trimmed the fender itself.

And i still rub a lot off road but that was before my new UCA's and CO's my caster is really bad so after and alignment I hope that helps. I'm not running wheel spacers my wheels are 15x10's with a 3.75" BS and a -44 offset.

dam i need to get a couple cutting wheels for my grinder, and use a BFH.
so with 15x10s with a 3.75" BS and a -44 offset, these stick out more than 15x8s 4.5BS and 1.25 wheel spacers? i suck at wheel sizes and stuff.

edit: did you do the cab mount chop? is it needed?

those will stick out more then mine about a 1/2 at the rim and we don't need to chop the cab mount you would have to tub the fenders before you cut the cab mount.

You should be okay the 285's are just under a 33/11.50 and I'm sure your wheel offset is nowhere near mine.
