I have a interview with my local linemans union(IBEW NJATC NEAT) coming up and I was wondering if there are any union lineman on here, or just general interview tips would be great. I am 21 and this is my first real interview, and i am really nervous. I have been a construction laborer for a little over 4 years, I am OSHA certified in construction safety,First Aid, and CPR. I do not have a cdl due to the cost. I also have an associates degree in power plant technologies, will this help any. thanks

Mostly stock for now, I have added a cb radio, various cheap mods and I plan on adding aftermarket wheels and other items in the future.
I'm certainly not a "lineman", but I would suggest doing some research on google. A lot of great sites giving a lot of good tips on this.

Obviously would need to dress with a suit and tie, and act professional and interested in the job. And a good looking resume can go a long way. Good luck man!

A great way to make yourself stand out from the other applicants is to send a Thank You letter to the interviewer the next day. Tell them it was a pleasure to meet them and thank them for their time and consideration regarding the lineman opening. Shows you have manners and keeps your name on the top of their mind.
