I got mine directly from RCI. It's not peeling like crazy but pretty much at every weld I have rust starting. It's not a big deal for me, but I'll probably strip them one year and just spray bomb them. It's just kinda sad because I figured they'd last more than a few months before rusting. I got mine in November.

word. so different person. I'm guessing the powdercoating that RCI uses isn't the greatest.
My guess is whoever is doing their powdercoating isn't doing a good prep on the surface.

I put mine on around march, so they still saw some salt but not much. But haven't found any rust. Mind you the prep I did was pretty thorough and prior to the zinc coating as I cleaned up the welds a bit I put some sort of paste stuff i got off a welder at work that they use to prevent corrosion.

How did you mount yours? I didn't have two holes line up in the front so mines actually only head with three bolts on driver side and five on passenger. I upgraded all hardware though to 1/2 grade 8. I've put the highlift on them and lifted no problem and didn't have much flex. Even though I likely won't lift from them much, just use my tire lift attachment for the highlift

Brafasco also does custom U bolts now as well so was thinking of getting some made up to go around the whole frame and slider part to better secure it, sort of like how mobtown goes around the whole boxed frame portion.
got a price on them from brafasco of $56 each. not cheap but thats 1/2" grade 8 rod. Either that or I'll fab up some brackets.

Mine mounted the same way as yours. Only 3 or 4 bolts per side, I'd have to check. I haven't lifted it with them, but they feel pretty sturdy when I stand on them. I'm sure I'll drill out the other holes at some point or weld them on. They're just handy for being high clearance door ding protectors right now. lol

I haven't decided if I'll drill them out as I'm worried about frame rot and then toyota using that as an excuse not to warranty etc lol.

I didn't get the wheels off but took all suspension travel out without the sliders moving at all. They're plenty strong to protect the rockers etc and protect from door dings from other cars. Just a little note, they don't help preventing you from dinging your own door when you open the door and hit a stupid post thing at the gas station, who would've thought. lol luckily it didn't actually damage my door.

Either way after lifting and taking all teh travel out didn't find them to be moving or anything so i'd be pretty confident to lift off them. Even still they're mostly there for protection and will definitely do so.

AS an FYI, the ARB summit bumper works with the TRD Pro skid plate. I had mine installed the other week.

Not a place that didn't sacrifice too much space.

No place under the hood and no place in the cab that I didn't already have planned for other stuff

Meh. With the right coils you won't notice. Not sure you'd notice if it were stock. Or the 1/4" spacer would deal w/ it anyway.

Not even just for weight, would just rather not have them there. Besides I sold the twin and got enough money to buy a new viair that meets my needs with money left over for other stuff. Twin air isn't needed unless filling 35s and or running tools and lockers like I did on my Jeep when I had it. Not needed anymore.
