    I could live with a dents ( in doors, fenders, bed) but not the Cab like my accedent in the winter. and I better not roll this thing. That guy in the FJ on two wheels on the passenger side. F that.

    It's just a custom tube crossmember that a local fab shop welded in. The shock tabs on the crossmember and axle were from trail gear, but the hole was too small for the shock eye... So the dude used a sleeve around the inside to make it fit. Works great.

    i just had an idea for the near future, if your down.. id be willing to grab a bunch of steel for skid plates for both of us (IFS skid, transmission/mid skid, transfer case skid) and drive down to you and build them with you over a couple of weekends.
    Depending on how much the steel would cost for both of us of though..

    Nice sounds good bro! I've never messed w/ stick welding before btw so that will be new to me too. But Im sure we will get it down.

    It's a PITA at first, but not horrible. Just need to take a few passes and clean the welds good.

    i should probably start collecting some decent sized pieces card board for mocking up the skids too huh? I get a good amount of boxes at my work..

    So I think I'm gonna mount the shower pump in my tire carrier toolbox. There will be a quick disconnect fitting on the side for the water coming in. The pump will feed through another hole in the side, down the tire carrier, then to the heat exchanger up front. Gonna mount a QD hose connection for my shower head off the bumper somewhere... Anyone see a problem with this? I want to mount the pump up front but not seeing anywhere... Plus it probably won't last as long in the engine bay.
