I'm loving the tires. I'm OK right now with the white lettering out. I may leave it. Kinda paranoid to try and black them out and then have it not look right.

Just keep them and see if they grow on to you. It brakes up all the black and looks sick. Love your truck man!

    Nice looking truck man!

I am getting my 2nd Generation Badges in soon...
What did you do to paint them?
I am thinking about a light sand, adhesion promotor, then Kyrlon Fusion Black paint.
    Thanks.

I tried with a set of throw away badges but it seemed to just peel right off. Did you use clearcoat? Thanks.

Yeah, make sure they are really clean! If the paint is not adhering, try another. There is a spray paint made specifically for plastics I believe from Krylon. In my case we used that cheap flat black Wal Mart paint (which I have a back up 2nd can for touch ups when needed). I have been through several car washes with NO problems. Just paint them evenly with like 10 coats as Murdered mentioned in the previous post.

Look at the tread. It's different on the inside. It's symmetrical and they have to be white out.

Nice truck man! Another idea...I got rid of the chrome grille and ordered a black one for like $80, painted Toyota emblem and e-bayed black marker lights. I went a step further and moved blinkers into marker lights and chopped the air dam.
