I gotz 48.5mpg between fill ups, no liez.

(seriously, I did going from a fill up on I-17 to Schnelby-Hill Road, down to Sedona, and filled up just south for 48.5mpg).

Though I actually don't believe it lol. I really think I miss typed the ODO on the phone, though the readings before and after align well.

    - Accelerate moderately but steadily up to speed. No jack rabbit starts but I don't take 2 minutes to get going either. My truck gets 12-15mpg when accelerating, even lightly, so I don't want to be too slow about getting up to cruising speed
    - I use cruise control whenever going above 40 mpg and on relatively flat ground. Cruise control can be more efficient when on flat ground but any time I hit even moderate hills then I can beat it and get better MPGs driving on my own.
    - When driving on my own up/down hills I'll accelerate slightly going downhill (up to 5mph over the speed limit) and then bleed off some of that speed going up the next hill so as to require less acceleration uphill.
    - When I do need to stop I try to lose at least 25% of my speed by coasting. There's no point accelerating up to a stop sign/light anyway, you just transform the wasted gas into heat when you step on the brakes. This is probably the best way to see big increases in MPG with the least effort.
    - Any time I see a 1/8 mile or more of downhill slope I'll coast to let the injectors kick off and essentially get unlimited MPGs
    - I rarely if ever get above 2250 RPMs although this isn't a direct reflection of good mileage. It's easy to only be running at 1700 RPMs and only getting 15mpg if you're accelerating up an slight hill. Still, all other things being equal, lower revs equals lower fuel consumption.

I too just joined the 400 club on my way out to the Moto GP in Indy this weekend.

2006 Double cab 4x4 Auto 4.0, I didn't think it was possible. came to 22.3 mpg. The light came on at 380 but I had to push it to 400.

Out of 17 tanks the best I have done is 339 miles and got 18.893 miles per gallon. This is one club I''ll never be able to join.

I kept speeds between 65 and 70 and the roads were pretty flat.
Once I run above 70 I drop into the 19's mpg

Camper top with racks, Custom fogs behind lower bumper. Interior LED lighting, Rock Lights, Hella 500s with upraged bulbs behind black billet grill, AAL, Front 5100s
I'm in the 420s usually. Also I have to add 3% for the tires. That gets me to ~430 real miles. I bet if I took off the racks I could push it to 440-450.

I don't get it, I do not beat on my truck and I am luck if I get 230-240 out of a tank. I get genreally 14-15.5 mpg...

depends on the gas and air too. sometimes I can get 250 out of a tank of bad gas. I fill up at least once a week. For the past 2 years I haven't seen over 330 to a tank and that's pushing my luck. Most I ever put in was 20 gallons and I was sweating. Usually 19 gal. I also see the best gas mileage with a fresh fill after towing the camper all weekend.

Like they said, EASY on the right pedal. I am young and like to drive fast every where. But I have grown and taken responsibility and only do the limit if it's 65+, but if it's under 65 mph, I will go about 9 over. The closer you are to 60-65, the better mpg you'll get. I pulled 418 miles on a tank before. That was 95% highway 5% city. When I filled up, the pump said 21.2 gallons...
