Welcome to the fold. Not the most/best power, gas mileage, comfort, cargo capacity, etc, but that thing will be loyal until it disintigrates.

 I am hoping with some rust prevention and keeping up on anything, this truck will never fail. You give me hope :hattip:

I got rid of the 2018 for a few reasons. It was an AT and there was NO ISSUE. I think people who bitch about that just like to bitch, or need to drive a manual and stfu. The main reason was I buy my cars and then seem to get bored after 2 years and then get another, this process looses me literally 10's of thousands of dollars and I was sick of it. So I want to start getting cars and trucks that will hold their value while I get my enjoyment out of them and then move on. 1st gen taco seemed like a good place to start. It took a while to find a clean one. I did look at one that "passed the frame inspection" and it was in really rough shape under neath and had all the typical associated problems...it was going for 1k less than the one I got with a 2 year old frame.

I'll be honest, the seats aren't great but everything else is as good as my 2018. I feel like the engine has about the same amount of pep, the gas milage is as good or better (I only got 17mpg or so in my 2018) and while I will miss the long bed, that's really the only thing. These trucks rock and I find myself cruising around in it with a big smile on my face:D

Got a bunch of superbrightled lights in this afternoon, only had time to do the license plate and center mount brake light. Significant improvements on both. The only lights I don't think I ordered were the low/high beams, as I don't want led in these, just a better halogen bulb. I'm thinking about holding off on the front turn/marker lights as led too so they don't look off when the headlights are on. Might just put some amber in where they are clear now.

Anyone who did led rear turn signals, did you need resistors and all that jazz? I ordered them, but hoping I don't need to wire them in.

Putting a new windshield on tomorrow, mine is 12 or more years old and the seal is in horrible shape. I know noise comes through, but wind shouldn't! So replacing that, putting a new battery in to get a crisper start up and then after that I will continue with the lights.

It's going to be nice Sunday, and I might do a portion of sound deadening if my driveway drys out a little.

The only rear light mod I did was add an LSC-100A brake light strobe in-line with my topper's third brake light.

I am definitely a fan of SBL's products and customer service. LED instrument cluster lighting is a really nice upgrade if any of your bulbs are out.

They aren't, but I got some anyways! Although I didn't know there was 3 lights in the center brake light so I might end up a little shy. I also might have a few extras of others... Once I get them all in place that I can, I will take another count and send back what I don't need and get what I forgot sent to me.

I almost went blue with the behind the dash, but I'm going to keep the red look, its good on my eyes and I like the look.

I think you will end up needing resistors if you do LED blinkers.

I did blue behind my instrument cluster and i love it

Lol no sweat, it replaces the flasher relay in the fuse box. At least I think that's where it is, in that fuse box under the hood lol:D

Thanks! I actually got two of those when I ordered just Incase! I even have a few other things I’m not quite sure yet how to use :anonymous::rofl:

Good to know since I had no idea where they went. I will have to give this a try but wouldn’t be shocked if I come back asking for help tomorrow.

let me ask, I have two of them, can I use one for front and one for rear? Or do I need one for each side?

    thanks:hattip:

There will be only one to replace. And you'll see those in the fuse box and be like Wut? Those come out??? And yep, it's those things, they can be a bear to pull out. But they are in fact removed by pulling them, sometimes little rocking back and forth, etc to get the darn thing moving. Lol you'll notice the OEM Denso ones are very high quality as well. Hold on to it

I woulda been searching the engine bay all day! Thanks for the tip. I'm excited for how simple that is, I hate splicing wires, always worried I will totally destroy my electrical when I do that.
