Hey all, bought my first Tacoma a few months ago and figured it was time to post it up. 2017 Inferno TRD Offroad MT.
Little backstory on the purchase, I had ordered a 2016 in fall of 15 and was told it would be a few months to get the one I wanted in which at the time was an Inferno 2016 TRD Sport Auto. Well a few months passed and no call, I contacted them and they assured me it would be their within weeks. Fast forward 4 more months and no truck, finally after about 7-8 months of waiting they call me and say "Your truck is in!". Woohoo right? JK, they ordered the wrong truck and a bunch of accessories on it to the tune of about 3k more than I wanted to pay. Told them I didn't want it and moved on.
That brings us to February of this year when I brought my 2011 Dakota in for its 60k service(don't judge me for the Dakota, it was a panic buy for a good price). They tell me I need new ball joints, new tie-rods, main seal is leaking, rear diff is leaking, transfer case is leaking, etc etc. Mind you this is after having 2 wheel bearing already put in the same side of the truck during those 60k miles. I told them I wasn't going to bother putting more money into it and would be getting rid of it.
I started looking around and originally was going to purchase a F150 but then as luck would have it, the dealer about 40 miles away had gotten in that day a 2017 Inferno TRD Offroad MT!!! I drove down the next day and test drove it, walked out 4 hours later with a new truck :). Sticker was $35,700 and ended up paying $32000 plus tax and they dropped the dealer fees, couldn't argue with that!

I absolutely love the truck and have never been more satisfied with a vehicle purchase. The manual was just an added bonus and I like it a little more every time I drive it.

Truck after a good wash an application of Topcoat F11(love this stuff). Only thing I put on at this point was a toneau cover.

Truck as of yesterday with my BAMF grille. I can't say how much I like the way it looks. Totally changed the front end of the truck, for the better.

Only additional plans for the summer are to put on my black vinyl letters that I purchased from here, and have the front windows tinted to match the back. After that the "Toy Fund" needs to recover a bit!

Oh forgot to add a picture of the Taco's brother. I might have an addiction to orange 6 speeds.

Now that's attention to detail. I did indeed go to heiser, I had never looked their before and then bam they had the exact truck I wanted and offered a good trade in. Overall was the least painful buying experience I've had purchasing a car.

lol! didn't mean to be a creeper, but the WI plates caught my eye and i'm well aware of all the toyota dealers here in MKE. before i bought mines, i searched all their sites daily. i check every now and then and the inventory is way better than it was at the beginning of the year.

Haha fair enough. I checked a lot in fall of '15 when I was looking to order one but hadn't been paying much attention through '16. Hadn't even heard of Heiser up until February of this year. Good to know there are some WI folks on here, I'm from up in the fox valley area by Appleton.

Got the vinyl on today. A lot easier than I thought it'd be, first time doing it. 20170604_190736-1-1.jpg

Question: Is Topcoat F11 worth purchasing? Any trouble with it? I understand you can't use any car wash chemical after its applied, just water, how is that working for you?
