    2006 TRD Prerunner Access cab.....

Every now and again i am stopped at a light waiting for it to turn green or whatnot.....and my truck "jumps" forward slightly. To clarify, it seems someone pulls up behind me and just bumps into me.

Like the tranny is trying to "engage" for a split second......maybe?

I don't know if this has happened to anyone else, but it seems to come and go for me. I have taken it to the dealer to get it looked at and they had me drive it with a mechanic to try to duplicate it.

    But with no success....

I cant make it do it, it just happens.

    HELP ANYONE?!?!?

Your truck is fine, and the jumping is normal. There are a number of threads on TW discussing the issue. You'll find them if you search enough.

    Why would that cause it?

I usually drive with windows down and no air going at all.....but i cant say it has/hasnt done it when i only have the AC going...

    None taken....

Im not very mechanically inclined....so i dont know what would cause this or why or whatever.

I just thought it was weird that the dealer couldnt tell me why....supposedly professionals.....

    Something that might help:

Every now and then backup in a straight line and then slam on your brakes. That will help the auto-adjusters on your back brakes adjust out. Seems to even help the pedal be a little firmer.

NOTE: You don't have to slam to hard. Also make sure there is nothing behind you that you could hit.
