Was just a about to comment saying those shocks will bottom out way before it hits the bumps. Good thing you lowered it

Yea I thought 3.5 up travel with lowered bumps would be enough since I won't be doing fast stuff but rather more crawling/slow stuff. However upon leaving my driveway and seeing that I used 2.5" of up travel it made more sense to extend it. Plus a few other members here reccomended it as well.

I probably would have cycled the suspension but I'm sure it's fine now

Yea with it in the current configuration I hit the bump a 1/4" before I bottom the shock. I can't fully droop it yet until I extend my brake lines but I can drop it 4" right now before the brake lines get tight. I will be extending the lines Friday

Both sides are burned in, ruff stuff resivor mounts are burned in and paint is drying! I'll do the brake lines in the morning and then the rear end will be done for a while.

Getting the bed back on to check clearance by myself was quite fun this morning IMG_3554.jpg

Took the bed back off today to finish painting the towers, and install the longer brake lines. All in all very happy with how everything turned out. I also installed my spidertrax 1.25" wheel spacers today as I'm getting new tires thrown on tomorrow. Also in preparation for new tires I did the cab mount chop.

Thanks guys. Yea the stock mounts were a pita to remove. Just took my time with a cut off wheel and when I felt it was close I hit it with a hammer and they fell off. Then just took an aggressive polishing wheel to the remaining weld and walah

Yea 35s or bigger will be in the future but I can't afford a re gear at this time. Hoping to save enough by fall to pay for a regear and front locker. Going to go 4.88s. Also going to go beadlocks once I move up to 35s

Had some fun with some local members yesterday wheeling with some local members. Truck wheeled and felt great! Really happy with the mtrs as well. Also got a front light bar ordered. So next mods will be some sort of on board air and the front led light.

Was supposed to go snow wheeling tomorrow but after an 80 hour work week I'm just going to relax around home. Maybe install these though :D they showed up early this week. These should be much better than the stock bumps for some of those faster hits IMG_3732.jpg

Decided I need to make some mounts for the hi lift. Cost me around $30 in material including the lock.
Bent it all in a bench mounted vise. Just made a simple 4 point saddle using 30 degree angles the bottom extends an additional 1/2" to account for the thickness of the bed rail
    IMG_3734.jpg
Then drilled out the holes and modified some 1/4" spring nuts to fit
    IMG_3735.jpg
    IMG_3736.jpg
Also got two rubber sleeves for putting over the bottom of the mounts as they just rest against the bed
    IMG_3738.jpg
    Rough test fit
    IMG_3739.jpg

Still need to weld the bolts to the back, drill the bolt for a lock and paint everything

Welded up and drilled. Ready for paint. I am using plastic sleeves instead of nuts to space the jack off the mount as well as space the wing nut. Here is a shot of all the misc pieces except the spring nuts.
