Threw the new bike rack on today. Needed a way to get my bike to Moab and anywhere else now that I have the rack and rtt. Love how high it sits in the high clearance rear. Will make it nice getting into some sweet mtn bike spots this summer.

Moab was amazing! Truck performed better than I was expecting. We ran hells revenge, flat iron mesa, and elephant hill just to name a few. Over 2,000 miles on the truck round trip and no issues or accidents just some more scratches from desert brush. I won't have time to sort through the photos and videos until next week but here are just a couple shots.

The roof top tent was amazing anyone on the fence about buying one just do it. The wife and I absolutely loved it we had temperatures from low 20s all the way to mid 90s and had everything from high wind to snow and slept comfortable and dry the entire trip.

Awesome man, looks like a fun trip. My wife and I did a 3 night trip on the white rim trail about 10 years ago in our grand cherokee. I want to plan another trip in our tacoma- your rig is sweet and gets me stoked about the idea so thanks for sharing!

So I did some front end maintenance over the weekend and am trying to track down a weird popping sound.

Since it looks like I have more play than I should out of the lca bushings I decided to try a rebuild/beef up of the lcas.

I ordered whiteline bushings, total chaos cam tab gussets, and total chaos spindle gussets. Figured if I was gonna have it apart might as well put it back together better and stronger. I'm also going to weld some plate onto the lcas to beef them up. Probably tackle most of this the weekend after the 4th.

Also from Moab one of my favorite shots IMG_4551.jpg

Got the driver side stripped down this evening. I'll tackle the passenger side tomorrow night. Gussets will be in Thursday so I will start welding Friday night.

The whiteline bushings aren't even installed yet and I'm already liking them more than the stock rubber bushings that have been removed.

Progress! Old bushings were easy to get out new ones were a pita to press in. However both lower control arms now have whiteline bushings installed! I also got the driver side cam tab gussets installed and the driver side spindle gusset welded up and installed. Hoping to finish up the passenger side tomorrow.

New bushings pressed in old one for comparison

Truck is back on the road just need an alignment. No more noises and a noticeable increase in steering response. So far happy with everything. I also changed out the front diff fluid since I had the skids off and i had planned on doing so at 30k miles anyways
