Background- 19, currently in school at UNCC, live in Avery County Nc.

    Car history- 99 Jeep Wrangler(sold), 99 Jetta(still kicking), 07 350z(sold), 2001 Explorer(Never gets drove), 06 Duramax(sold), 2014 Tacoma!

My grandma matched me on money for the jeep and I have great parents who will loan me the money so I don't have to really deal with banks although I always pay them back. So I like to think I pay for my toys by myself and not daddy's money however nothing would really be possible without them.
So basically anything I do to the truck is a slow painful process until I finish paying for the truck and going to college doesn't really help but I figured I needed a build thread to keep up with everything and tell stories I get the truck into!

    Lake story-
Ive had my truck around 6 months now, been on some gravel roads and light off roading, been very impressed with all the Off road features, never have got the truck stuck until now so story time....My friend photobombing hard...
    IMG_4448_zpsuk9zcluj_f1b511f967fbca1ae7652285f19add75857b091d.jpg
Friend has a lake house on a small lake (boone lake). The lakes dam has a sinkhole or something so they have drained the lake, not really completely drained about half IMO, but anyway we went down to find the lake something like a rocky and obstacle filled desert/clay. [IMG] Obviously we ventured out on the lake for literally hours, around 1am on our way back from a short cruise we came across a large ditch we crossed earlier that was rough, decided to go to the bottom of the ditch where its smaller. In this time it had started pouring the rain even knocked the power off at his lake house which is why we went out cruising again, therefore the windows were up and visibility through 10%windows is low. At the bottom of the ditch i noticed the back tires starting to sink slightly, so did my friend so we quickly tried to go slightly faster and back up the bank, suddenly all four tires sank, I mean straight dropped. Locked everything and hit every button on the truck and slowly gave it gas, all four tires slowly spun as the truck was already sitting on the frame. My friend opened the door to find the water literally 2 feet from the truck... An hour later of shoveling and a tundra with a really long chain and TOYO Mts the truck easily came out, Had enough mud in the wheels I had to stop at 2 different car washes and rode on the rumble stops to be able to get the truck to stop shaking on the way to work this morning but overall had a great time and really want to get some suspension and real tires on the truck to do it all again!

Its hard to change what attracted you in the first place! I just recently plasti dipped my emblems and tinted all my windows and it was nerve wrecking for me while doing it, but I love the outcome! I'm about to head to the store to buy some hose clamps to make sure my tailgate isn't messed with haha (just extra security).

If you ever plan on a bed cover may look into a pop in lock tail gate handle!

    Any future mods I'm missing?

I'm torn if I want to get a hard shell or a tonneau. Honestly, I think the raptor style grill is sexy and plan on doing that to my truck. Obviously there are a lot of nice mods that you can do to your truck, but I think they are just nice to look at. I think an idea set up would be nice tire, wheels, grill, lift, tint, light bars, and emblem mods. I like it classic

Thanks! I don't know if I could have brought my self to get a roof mount if the holes weren't already there!

Towed a trailer for the first time with the tacoma, It towed really well honestly, you could feel it behind you and not having trailer brakes wasn't comforting but still surprised how well it did! Trailer is 20 foot double axle 20k trailer.. Had maybe 500 pounds worth of old barn wood and tin on it... Yes I had a smaller trailer but... [IMG]

Finally pulled the trigger on a lift! Ended up going with FOX! After what seems like years of research and debating decided it was my best option and worth the extra money! So once I get it installed I guess this is finally a build lol

Got my suspension installed and everything a few weeks ago, got a bad gash in the sidewall of one of my tires however so I put the stock tires back on and I'm trying to wait till closer to winter before I buy new tires for the xspx rims, FOX suspension is amazing however I love the truck so much more now finally done something that makes this a build!

Super dirty suspension pics... Just came off a dirt road and rotated my tires (yes I've had the stock tires on so long I've had to rotate them :frusty:)

I honestly have no idea, They are for 0-1.5" of lift so id say maybe a inch or 2 more than stock? I didn't really want to lift the rear any at this point so they fit the budget and ride great!
