Was thinking of heading out Saturday morning. I know inside the park will most likely be all taken up. So guess I’ll looks up gold crown and black rock.

I first camped in JT back when it was still a national monument.

I believe you can also camp off of Geology Rd...??? Less traveled more remote but still within the park and among the rocks. Easily accessible with stock truck, less so for the Prius/Civic types...

I've lived in the Hi-Desert the past 16 years. It's become a zoo in the last few, with all the tourists and shit. You can camp for free as far as I know in Johnson Valley, much better wheeling if you can take it. Lots of open land up that way. I just get my annual pass and avoid the fee increase.....
