That maestro harness unfortunately only works with maestro enabled radios.

the back speakers are garbage anyway I don’t think they worked before I swapped either hahaha. Today was my first full day in the truck using it since I got my sound working I love the unit so far. But, still glad I get the 30 day Amazon return to make sure I really love it hahah. Now I need a SIM card so I can have web browsing and all. I sell cars so I spend a lot of my time hanging out on my truck. If you find out how to get the backs working let me know!!!!

Do you have the front/back/side mirror cameras? How do they look on the new screen?

I have front and back, and then I have two underneath the front that look to the side and slightly back that I'm testing out as a location for watching wheel placement on obstacles. Aside from the stock rear, these are all Natika '720p' (but really more like 2/3 that resolution) so they look pretty low res on the 1080p display, but they're inexpensive and have great low light performance. I'll be getting some AHD 1080p cameras in time, and actually added one from Joying to my order but haven't tested it yet. If it's good I'll order a handful.

    That 11.6" looking spicy!

What functions did you lose from the dash screen? Do you still get any of the fuel economy and fill-up info? Is the ODB is required for the tire pressure data?

Wait, you can see all your cameras on the Joying? What app are you using to do this? I have this same head unit and I can't see my front camera, only the rear.

I'm not using an app at all, just the native backup camera detection input. My system (which is circuit identical to this product, but is not this product) has a little five button selector that wirelessly talks to the camera switcher (four directions, one 'Off' button). The switcher is spliced into the wire that tells the HU that you're in reverse. Whenever you actually go into reverse the switcher activates the rear camera and tells the HU you're in reverse. Or if you press a button, it turns on the relevant camera and also tells the HU you're in reverse. The video out from the switcher just goes into the HU on the normal backup camera input line. Now the confusing thing is that when you get the Joying Toyota harness, you end up with three or four different jacks labeled 'backup camera input'. All but one are male. Use the female one.

I'll take a photo of the state of the harness the next time I pull it out of the truck if that might help you get yours working.

I haven't done the inventory on it yet, but probably a lot. I don't care so much about the fuel economy and range though because I can recapitulate that in Torque Pro easily. In fact I can't think of anything I'd lose that I can't get on the HU. Not sure I know how you mean OBD exactly, but I'll clarify: an OBDII port adaptor is not needed for that. The HU gets that info over the canbus lines like it does for door opening, TPMS, RPMs, etc. I do have a separate cheap bluetooth OBDII adapter plugged into the OBDII port, and the Joying can use that with the Torque app also (which I do since third party apps on the HU can't get the OBDII data as far as I can tell).

Thanks for clarifying! If I wanted the fuel data, would I need the OBDII port adapter and Torque Pro?

Worst case yeah, for like $20 all in, but I'm nearly 100% sure the HU can show that info too. But I like Torque, I used to use it a lot on a very heavily modified turbo car and got used to looking at fuel trims, AFR, EGT, all that good stuff, so I still like having it all in one place (and being able to log it.)

Sounds like I should just get the adapter and Torque. Thanks, again, for the answers to my questions. They'll be really helpful for figuring out if I did anything wrong during my installation. Just waiting on USPS to deliver my canbus harness....

After the first one being, for all intents and purposes, an out of the box brick, I'm worried about long term reliability.
That said, it's replacement has been trouble free and I'd like nothing more than for it to continue to be. I just don't have any complaints worth complaining about. Come what may, and despite the fact I have the stock HU in a closet, there's no path back to OEM for me.

It's sold as a 9 inch, but the screen in it's entirety actually measures 10 inches, diagonally.
Ergo, it uses a 10" screen protector.
