I've had nothing but good things with mine (different model than the unit posted by the OP). I'm almost one year with mine. For a car version of android I couldn't ask for much more. I use google maps, waze, youtube, soundcloud, pandora, plex, Amazon video, etc. The list goes on and on. I just use my phone as a hot spot and I'm good to go. App updates I can do from the driveway on my home wifi. Some people downloaded nova launcher, or whatever their favorite is, but I didn't find it necessary, the stock launcher options worked well for me.

    See my thread for experiences:

My stock entune headunit keeps freezing on me even after firmware updates. How easily does this integrate into the factory backup camera and steering wheel controls?

My factory backup camera works fine. See video in orginal post. Also see steering wheel controls. About half the buttons on mine work...but i can accomplish what i need out of them. (Volume up/down, skip, mute, pickup phone etc.) I would be interested to hear if anyone has had a better/worse experience. What would be awesome is if you could navigate the controls with the directional arrows and have a forward and back button...but i don't think that is possible.

With the right harness the steering wheel controls work pretty well. I really only ever use the volume. I'm sure with the tinkering you could get the rest working, or with a little wiring.

Backup camera was also easy, just need to tap into it. I have some details in my thread about that also.

    yep..
I have an ATOTO android head unit. Couple apps that I have found very useful

HERE wego or Sygic - offline gps apps that let you pre download maps of states or whole US

Gaia - off-road gps app with topography, elevation, breadcrumbs, the list goes on

Spotify is great on these as you can download your playlists to the HD. I use the spotify widget for quick access

Do any of you guys have the stock JBL stereo? Finding the right wiring harness to interface with that is proving confusing. Seems like there are a lot of options interfacing with the stock amp. I know for sure I need something like this to send a digital signal to the stock amp to turn it on, just not sure if this is the right one, or the only one? Does Joying have something similar to send?

Looks great, Couple questions. I have a 2012 Taco and it has an oem backup camera but you have to view what's behind you by looking in your rear view mirror.
Do you know if the wires will hook right in if I disconnect the mirror wires. Also are you still loving the unit?
    Thanks.

I tried to hook my OEM camera to my ATOTO android head unit (very similar to the joying) and I just ended up buying a separate camera on Amazon. The head unit requires coax in for the video and a reverse trigger wire to let it know when you shift into reverse. You would have to find which 2 wires in the OEM camera harness that are the video signal and shield, then solder them to a video coax cable to plug into the radio, along with the reverse trigger wire (found this up behind the glove box).

I had my Joying unit for over 2 years and love it! Front and rear camera, I use Google maps, it just blows away the Pioneers and kenwoods or sony, they just do way more!

I have the JBL stereo as well with amplifier behind the seats. Did you ever figure out the correct wiring harness?

I got my joying unit installed. I use an iphone so I tether the head unit using my mobile hotspot but it doesn't seem to automatically connect when reentering the truck. Bluetooth connects automatically. Do you know if there is a way to use data via bluetooth so I dont have to use my wifi hotspot?

Mine will reconnect to the hotspot on my android when I leave/return automatically. Same for bluetooth.

I've played with it for a couple weeks now. I have to go into my hotspot settings on my phone every time for it to connect unfortunately so I've just been playing over blue tooth.
