every time I’m out with the wife I love when I order oysters or mussels for an appetizer, I get to eat them all!

same for Rocky Mountain oysters.

 

With ya on cream soup but gravy! You just haven't had dry cold Thanksgiving dinner rescued by killer gravy.

Cow's tongue has to be cooked in a pressure cooker...at least, that's how my mother prepared it.

Well , I was hungry until I stumbled upon this thread.

 

Good oysters, why put sashimi on it. I like sushi or sashimi but they dont add anything to a good oyster.

Dont care for the texture of some kippers or smoked herring. Taste is fine, the texture is similar to eating an eyebrow

 

I didn't order them...and that's how they were served. I actually liked them the way they were served.

"Cool Springs" here in Dover, Delaware is well-known for their seafood entrees!

 

I can't stand cherry tomatoes. Or cold tomatoes on anything cold like a sandwich. Tomato slice on something warm like a BLT or hamburger is delicious though

all textures that once u get past are great IMO

 

Texture does play a role in a few things I just will not eat, or not willingly.

Most squash. It's just "slimy" to me, and I have always hated squash since childhood.
Eggplant - same thing as squash.
Oysters. Tried them twice, just to be sure. If I wanted to eat snot, I'll blow my nose......
Figs. Pretty much same as squash.
Gizzard. If I wanted to chew on my shoes, I'll chew on my shoes.
Kale. If I wanted to eat cardboard.....

And of course there are foods I do not eat because of the taste/flavor.
Liver. If I wanted to eat a used oil filter, I'll wait until I change oil in my Tacoma.
Cilantro/parsley. Not no, but @#$%^& NO
Heart

And there is also the category of "I would rather starve"... just because.

Looks. I've NEVER had cottage cheese, because it looks like curtled shit. You also eat with your eyes. And if that food looks like a bowl of dicks, I'm not eating that either. I don't care if you tell me those things taste like pizza.

I like orange juice, don’t like oranges. Same with almost all fruit drinks.

 

I used to work in the deli at a grocery store my first job and we sold head cheese. I had never heard of it before but all the old people liked to get it. The gel part to it was really weird. I never ended up trying it lol.

 

It's delicious on potatoes.

 

I can't eat things that squeak on my teeth, sends shivers through me. Only example I can think of right now is steamed string beans.

Otherwise I'll try most anything at least once.
