    jug fishins real popular here in the south. just wanderin if any of yall do it. I just got back from my first trip of this year and it was kinda slow. Only caught one but perfect size for eatin. caught on hotdog soaked in garlic powder.

    any of yall run trotlines? i was goin to set one out tomorrow afternoon n check it saturday mornin but its gonna rain. not gettin out there in a 10 ft jon boat in a thunderstorm lol

    getting there....
    i aint ran trot lines in a good while, but when i used to.......................we'd run them in a big pond that no one ever fished, using same as you......hot dogs chunks boiled in garlic, and also chicken livers. alotta times.................we caught a few catfish.........................and cooters all the damn time!

    When I was a kid we ran trotlines all the time. We had a 12' john boat and me & my dad would set trotlines Friday afternoon and check em all weekend. Chicken Livers & shrimp! Man we used to catch some big ass channel cats!!!

    Thanks for reminding me of those memories! :D
