So I awarded Chris the understatement of the millennium award last night, he said it was a little tricky finding the trail....is was fucking insane and miserable!

This is all in regards to Coconino Rim, the other 2 were fine. So the trail actually starts out as a trails for vehicles, turns out as a trail for quads about 1/3 in. The trail was impossible to find, there were no markings we just just continued driving and guessing. Had to turn around a few times. To make things worse, as we were driving there I noticed that the clouds were heading one way but turned out going differently. We continued the trail due to me thinking the whole trail was the same way it started. WE ran over little tree's, side swiped a dozen due to extremely muddy thick conditions. The trail got flooded very easily. Mud was about half shin depth (had to walk around to make a trail direction decision). There were sections were the mud/water was at least a foot deep and running for 30+ yards at any given time. There were more than a dozen choices of ways to go that were not listen in my directions.

I remember diving my 265/75's M/T through some mud before, nothing like this, and getting stuck very easily. I have to thank my 255's very much for being AMAZING! Aired down to about 20 and they were absolute champs! The all terrains did a great job expelling the mud and self cleaning. Always made it a point to stop on hard surfaces along the trail. Also have to thank Baby T (trucks name) he did an amazing job, steady speed in high gear using the skinny when necessary, truck rocked! This whole ordeal might have been nicer with a locker, but it is very nice to know the limitations of my open diff truck!

Also have to give a heads up to Toyota Engineers lol I removed my fender intake resonator so the whole was open this whole time during the trip. At no point did water or mud ever make its way into my intake box (stopped and checked very often). I mean driving through 1-2' of water, slush and mud with nothing getting in, I am impressed.

Overall the trail was great but with weather permitting. I Would highly advise starting this trail extremely early and using some sort of GPS system, otherwise it will be a mess and you will get very frustrated. Also avoid this trail during rain.

    Lol Chris!

All in all though, once we got out its was an amazing experience that I am glad I was able to successfully do! I think I'm a better for it, driver and person.

I never ran them in the rain, so Im sure that made it much more interesting. The last time I ran a trail up there in the rain, it was in my Moms new Bronco (at the time), and I gave it a little body damage. That place gets SLICK when wet!
