Jump Box- Tire inflator or both?

Forum: I learned a hard lesson in a simple way.
I turned off my engine and my headlights went out as they are supposed to.
I turned on the acc to get my hands warm before hitting the slopes.
That put the HL back on and they didn't turn off when I turn the ACC off.
Luckily I had my HD jumper cables and a helpful skier for a jump.
I'm at 7300 in the Sierras, no place for a malfunction.

So now I'm thinking how will I get a jump if I'm alone?
That brings me to the space saving of a Jump Box/Tire Inflator or both.
I also have a few cans of Flat-Fix just in case.

I was doing Jump Box research and now I'm considering a larger Power Station that would run an elect blanket for camper shell.

 

I like to keep things separate- all in one devices are full of compromises.

I bought a supercap based jump box and it has performed very well the six or so times I’ve used it. I don’t like keeping lithium batteries in my vehicle, or worry about keeping them charged.


A viair pump does well for tire duty, I think I have the 88p

 

different tools. NOCOboost is the industry standard jump box.

$91 ViAir 88p Portable Compressor Kit (12V, 120 Psi, Forup to 33" Tires)

ViAir 88p that’s a pain to use and takes long because it’s small and cheap. Definitely not the best setup. Direct to battery to avoid blowing dash fuse.

power station used to use an EcoFlow back when I needed one for stuff like a fridge.

question is what NOCOboost. GB40 is cheaper.
I have two GB70’s because in my experience having one to work on cars, it’s great.
never jumped more than a 3L v6 turbodiesel. So I don’t know how it deals with American diesel trucks.

 

I have a small DeWalt DCC020 for tire inflation, separate from my JNC770R. The JNC is bulky, but it has never failed me, and I can use it to power/charge other things without starting the truck. (They have a JNCAIR with an air compressor but I never tried it.)

Note, the lower model JNC660 does not have a main on/off switch. I do not recommend it because it can slide around and dumb luck the clamp jaws might grab the metal t-lock rods inside a metal drawer causing a short and smoldering fire... Don't ask me how I know that.

For the truck I have a VIAIR 12V air compressor and NOCO jumper.

I have a combo unit for my Honda but I never had to use it as a jumper, only as a cordless air pump

 

I also keep a separate jumper and air compressor/inflator. Both can be easily stored/accessed in the compartments behind my seats. The all in one units are generally too large to store out of sight.

 

I have the Milwaukee M12 inflator, works fine. Being on the smaller side and only 12V, it's not super fast but it's way faster than a bicycle pump.

Around 4-5 minutes or so from ~0 PSI to 32PSI on P265/70/R16 tires.

Roughly 7" x 7" square by around 8-9" tall.

He had an old 4 cyl 4 sp truck.
