New light made to go under the hood. Lights up 98% under the hood.

    What does everyone think?

Be nice to have! I don't understand why a lot of them don't come with lights under the hood anymore, not Tacoma's just vehicles in general. What's the install like, just splice it in?

Ok all, better late than never. Here are a few of what I feel are the more critical pictures from my install to give you an idea of the major wiring changes required on the 2013 DTRL & Rear Turn LED mods plus a few other pics I feel will help with your installation. Everything else I installed was extremely straight forward, plug and play. I will be posting most of the output comparisons in my build thread a little later on for those of you who are wondering what the improvements are like over stock lighting, which I will say is substantial. Worth every penny... Thanks Chris!

Most importantly, if the LED doesn't work on first try, rotate the bulb 180 degrees as they are polar (one side +, one side -). Best to do this before re-assembly as it is very time consuming otherwise!

Professionally packaged (each bag was bubble wrapped separately upon arrival):

    Under-dash wiring required for DTRL:
Dash panel that needs to be removed (snaps out easily once two 10mm bolts are removed per instructions, then just disconnect the switches/hood release cable and remove for easiest installation)
    IMG_0331_zps16c8966e_995d571f8cd212545373bdbb3923308749f79792.jpg
Add-a-circuit installation for always on with ignition DTRL's (Required)

Shot of the two green wires that need to be tied together, then crimped to the add a circuit

    Wiring for resistor installation:
I opted to solder and heat shrink all connections, however the T-crimps included in Chris' kit are more than adequate to perform the installation for those without a solder kit. This is a picture of the resistor installed for the LR Turn however installation is the same for both rear turns and front DTRL/Turns.

Resistor Mount location for Rear Turns:

If you're planning to solder, I highly recommend extending at least one side of the resistor wiring for ease of installation:

    Shifter LED install:
One more thing I had to look up was how to remove the shifter panel in order to replace the indicator light. Remove the gearshift knob, then lift up on the surround, it comes right up and then the indicator panel lifts off exposing the factory dim green led. Plug and play from there.

    A few more shots:

    IMG_0336_zps8915dffe_919f74363d8e2927f3ef0570f16fd9edc33d52e9.jpg

All other panels/dome light covers/map light cover were easily removed with a small sized flat head screwdriver wrapped in electrical tape as to avoid marring the surrounding plastic. If anyone has any other installation questions or would like me to take a few more pictures of certain things please let me know. Hope everyone likes the writeup and please feel free to contribute or correct where needed!

Thats the beauty if this led. You can use it on any vehicle. It comes with a positive and negative wire attached, and a hood pin switch so that it turns off when hood is closed. Hook positive to battery and negative to hood switch.

anyone that is wondering, chris is a stand up guy and the lights he sales are everything i expected and more. I have the 400 lumen reverse lights, the interior kit, and HID head lights and HID fog lights. On the interior set, i went with Red reading lamps, and the main light i chose the white. Red is not over powering when you cut it on and you get a lot of light output.

After a lot of difficulties for me I must say it is sooo marvellous, I just tried the DTRL tonight and it works very well. The white DTRL are way much more appealing than the orange. I have not really finished the wires, I just plugged to try and to see the results, I will continue this weekend. I tried to remove the socket of parking lights and they are hard to turn, is it this way we remove them just like the DTRL?

Thanks Chris for all the patience and the answers you gave me.

Got all my lights today. Thanks a ton chris. Spent about 5 min putting in the easy ones. I need to still wire in the DTRL's. I can't wait for those. Great service and shipping.

Does anyone have pictures of the reverse lights installed showing a comparison of the illumination from stock to LED?
Also looking for pictures of the parking lights on with a stock headlight. I wanna see how they go together.
