Has nothing to do with the AC on my truck -- the idle is very erratic when warming up--- DANGEROUS SITUATION!

Lets put it this way -- you are trying to put your new truck in a exact point in your drive right in front of your garage. But wait it is slick with snow or ice -- and you have the "what you feel is the exact pressure on your brake pedal to control your truck -- then all of a sudden your idle speed goes up 200-250 RPM --OK- as you as "YOU" are used to this "crock of shit" -- wait -- your wife or SO is at the wheel -- she/he puts your truck through your garage door --or worse!! -- that's why it is a big deal!!!

If it's bouncing the idle when it's in drive then take it in and get it looked at, instead of sitting here bitching about it

If your wife is going to put the truck through the garage at a 200-300 rpm change, then perhaps she shouldn't be driving? :notsure: You can get that much of a change from the power steering or AC condenser kicking on

I have taken it in -- to the dealer -- they said it "is normal " EXCUSE ME" my wife has probably been driving longer than you have been alive? SO please don't question her driving abilities without no other knowledge on "your part" She has a flawless driving record. If one gets in a vehicle and it surges erratically -- and one is not used to driving that vehicle -- it can be a exceptional situation -- wake up and think about what the hell you comment!!

I think it's fair to question anyones driving abilities if they put a vehicle through a wall or garage door on a 200 rpm surge... If there was a problem or the vehicle was unsafe, I'm sure the shop would of kept it.

Keep it -- why not fix it ? -- they have a whole shop full of techs! -- better yet -- FIX it !! -- of course they know of the "ISSUE" -- so they chose to "play dumb to the complaint. This is a design/programming issue and they damned well know it!! -- My truck has less than 3K miles on it -- I have a lifetime powertrain warranty as well as the factory warranty -- --trust me they will know me well till they get this fixed. YOU have no idea of my persistence in getting something fixed! I was not born yesterday!!

Toyota and to maybe a lesser extent --their dealers know this is a problem -- and if you deny this --you are essentially lying to yourself. It is a factor of their design/programming of the engine. -- till they admit it , the dealers and the buying public are at their mercy!!

All Toyota idle high upon start up, so if this is what you're referring to, than yes it is normal. If you throw it in gear while its "warming" up it will have a tendency to lunge. This is normal. It shouldn't be doing it when it's at operating temp and you have been driving for a while.

If it was a programming error than they would all do it. Mine runs fine

Sometimes one has to "yell" at another to get their attention and wake them up!

Had anyone been putting diesel fuel in the tank? Seems to be a common issue.

Mine doesn't do that even with the AC on. It's not normal. Something is wrong.
