So I was incredibly intelligent and in a rush so I decided to hit a dip at about 40 mph. I had a bed full of metal pipe which made a lot of ruckus so I couldn’t hear if anything broke.

With that being said, when I backed my truck into my driveway today, I noticed a significant lean to the drivers side. While I know that there is some added weight to the drivers side, on stock suspension it shouldn’t be a problem. I measured the ground to the fender on a flat, level surface and I found a difference of 7/8” between the drivers and passengers side.

Any ideas on what’s broken? And would this be a good time to justify a lift now that my suspension is presumably shot?

The answers you seek are under your truck. Have a look at your springs.

If its something sudden like this, maybe a broken leaf. Its hard to guess really, but thats where I would start.

I’ll take a cautionary look there, but is mostly a dip in the front

If you see anything you assume is suspicious you could take a photo of it and then compare to the other side. Sometimes components are manufactured with odd shapes that can make them appear bent/broken when in reality they are neither.

Wouldn’t he see a crazy change in camber as well? Surely it would have to be bent into negative camber to an extreme degree to change the ride height by nearly an inch.

Prior to me reading your bio “TX” as soon as you said “here in a second” I knew you were also from Texas, lol.

Get under your truck and look around. See if there are any differences from one side to the other.
It wouldn't hurt to familiarize yourself with your truck anyhow...

Looks like it’s leaning but hard to tell. Could also be that it’s leaned the entire time (Taco lean) and since you hit a bump hard you became paranoid and just noticed it.

I’ve seen it a lot, people will hit a curb and then say “my headlights are dim, does that have anything to do with the curb?” Well no, you just became hyper vigilant now because you think you broke your vehicle.

Thats not to say you didn’t break something, but the only way to know is to look under the truck.

I was thinking this, but from what I’ve seen the lean is only about a quarter of an inch, not a full one. I’m running out to take a good look now
