    Yeah, judging by the smell rolling off the truck when I pulled into the driveway, I'm sure I got a nice grease slick on the underside of the truck. Smelled like it was burning off the exhaust.

    I guess I'm also going to have to order a crap-ton of snap rings from Marlin if this is going to happen with any sort of regularity. They are cheap, but the shipping is ridiculous by comparison. More than the cost of snap rings, but I can't source them locally that I can find.

    Today was fun lady's and gents had a blast little water in the cab but I will live first time for everything thats why I stay away from that stuff generally. But none the less had fun kept up with the 4x4 like usual ;-)

    My '89 was like that, black, reg cab, long bed. It looked pretty normal at the time, but looking at yours...man, that configuration looks weird now. The bed looks way too long and the cab looks too tiny. :D

    Mine was on 38s as well, but they were 38x12.50s and I only had 3" of body lift. Imagine that, 3" of body lift to clear 38s. Can't do that with hardly anything anymore. Gotta have like 10 inches of lift or re-engineer the entire suspension and butcher the fenders to get tires that big these days.

    But anyway, the only even remotely acceptable F-series you would want would be a reg cab SWB. And then I'd think about shortening it to say a Bronco length wheel base before I'd consider taking it to somewhere like Hardrock. Even then, I think it'd be too dang heavy and wide to really be all that impressive.

    Stick with the Hilux idea. You'll be much happier. This is the voice of experience talking. My FS Fords never did anything to amaze me off road--they didn't suck, exactly, they just never did anything special--where as both my YJ and my Toys did things off road that left me in awe.

    No, the driver was just slow as molasses and was the sort of rude individual that would cut in on a funeral procession just because of a little thing like running out of lane. :mad:

    Haha, j/k. He was slow, but I didn't realize his lane was ending or I'd have stayed behind him.

    Yeah you do make some good videos man! I always enjoy them. Especially when you walk around the trucks looking at all the details. :thumbsup:
    I wish i could have made it but the forces were against me this time. I'll def try to be at the next one.
