June/July Rausch trip!!!

I am going to have to bail this trip, I have a lot going on and on top of everything my wife truck shitting the bed.

I am probably going to try and get another trip together soon.

 

My friend just bailed (this was his idea!). We are going to do some wheeling locally so its not a total loss. But we're going to push to make it to rausch soon. So ill see you guys another time.

Yeah, I had a blast once you started picking trails. I'd like to do greens and blues favoring the blues and greens to get to them.

The cam an lifters are wiped out. They pretty much said the top end need to be rebuilt. GM is supposed to be coming down to inspect the motor and if they approve to pick up some of the cost it would only be $1500 out of my pocket. But there is no way that should have happen on 2007 Yukon with only 82k on a 5.3. We bought it brand be in 2007 and the dealer has done all but 2 oil changes.

 

Small groups ftw. I'd kill to be able to make this trip.

Just looked through your build. You're plenty equipped for blacks as far as I can tell. You've got skids, sliders, 33's, and a short wheel base to boot.

Wheel that bitch and total it. We can drag it onto the road and drop a tree on it. Just kidding of course, I would never condone insurance fraud.

I'm thinking about making the trip out on Saturday morning if you guys wouldn't mind one more person. I have a pretty much stock DCLB, just some AT tires, CB radio, tow shackle and bubba rope. I was wondering if you guys were going to do some of the easier trails? I want to make sure I won't be dragging the group down since I'm stock and won't be able to do the more difficult trails. I'll know by tonight if I'm free Saturday morning. If there isn't any room this time, I'll be sure to post sooner the next time you guys decide to head out. Thanks.

I've only needed to lock the rear on hill climbs at Rausch. And those for the most part are side shots on blues/greens, aka optional. Plus they aren't generally rocky so the most likely area of damage is to the body.
