    Bigger battery..Elec in the bed..Topper,
I finally found a set of leather seats to replace my worn out back killers..My bud loved these which are electric..I was trying to find some manual replacements, but he talked me into them..They are from a 2004 Maxima, ( I think ) and they are in great condition..I'm not the electrician, but we both can weld and Flic swears I'll be happy with them...They are good match up in the deminsions dept. and we'll start when we can..I am in no hurry...We have road shows to experience first...The Black Crowes next week in Nashville, The Steel Woods in Knoxville..And Steve Earle & the Dukes plus Los Lobos at the Ryman in August! Best sound in the world...So, yay for me being broke...Oh, those seats were 39 bucks each..I was shocked...Any advice is welcomed and highly appreciated!!

How do you plan on swapping the electronic controls over?

Too many trucks and mods to list.. check builds
Should be simple to wire, the issue you’ll have is with the airbag system and the seat weight system.

I'm guessing I want to avoid the airbags in these seats...I'll have to do some homework on the seatweight issue...

A little of this and a little of that.
Good score on the seats. YouTube could be helpful for getting them sorted.

Enjoy the music this summer.

Thanks for the comments and advice...I'm hoping to hit lots more music in the future..I just became single after 4yrs and I'm thinking about staying on the road lately...Part of the reason of getting my truck in shape to where I can tow a small camper..Might just modify the truck into my pad...I need to get back to living my life again...Maybe catch a few Govt Mule shows in the process..

Hopefully the switches are on the seat instead of mounted somewhere on the dash or center console. If they're not on the seat, it'll be difficult but still doable. You'll need to find out what wire is for what, what color wire that is.

For leather cleaning conditioning I've been using something called bick4. It works, cleans, gets sticky donut glaze off, leaves a waxy protective film. I'm sure there's better stuff out there. Something is better than nothing I figured.

I've learned those pick yo part places aren't for me. 1 I don't have the patience. 2 I suck at negotiating. Nice score for you!

Missed the Black Crowes in Nashville..Ate those tix...Still got the Earle/ Lobos the end of Aug...Govt Mule just put out a summer tour schedule...The biggie is Sturgill Simpson has new material and is doing a couple of shows at the Roman also...I get paid the 1st of each month so we'll see....I used Bick on all my boots !! That stuff is the best I've found...All the switches are on the seats, not sure about heat, if any...Not going to mess with these till it cools off...I checked and I can sell these things for around 300 because they are almost pristine, so there's THAT running around my brain...Only caffeine, no cocaine.

That band is really good..They're all over seems like...I haven't been able to really listen to much since I've got my truck stereo torn down till I can get those seats in...Lot of structural space to deaden in that cab...Plus I wanna tear out the factory stuff behind the seats...Make a damn bunker w/ a cooler..lol. When its done, I'm gonna hit the road for awhile...If my pension and upcoming Guv check adds up...Stephen, I remember those things...Does Memtaco mean Memphis ?

Well, After learning about memory settings in power seats and that the setting buttons are in the Maxima doors..And reading a bunch of older posts about said crap..I believe I'll be shopping for some manual seats to better replace my factory Tacos...When I Google these questions, I found old posts from Tacomaworld and Tacomanation ( ?) where folks have done this, but it was a huge pain..And getting the memory to work correctly on the power seats..I actually found one guy who got his manual to power seats to completely work , but the memory thing took him months and a lot more money than he realized...In the end, he didn't recommend it..I am gonna try manual seats...Screw the leather, I just want a better ass bucket than I have...I've half a mind to trade for another truck brand after the frame issue, and my sealed tranny issue, the ill fitting cab and backbreaking seats, and most of all, the way the Japanese corporate folks stonewall folks who spend good money to buy from them...If I had a bad ass off road mod like most of yall, I'd just shut up and modify it all, but mine is a stocker....I'm 61 and this Taco is the 5th vehicle I've ever owned, period..It's the first one I've ever loved though...I owned 26 bikes and those were my true love..

You bought seats without the controls on them? :ohsnap:

Thankfully it wasn't a huge investment.

No, they all have controls...What has me 2nd guessing the whole thing is the seat memory...I don't think getting the harness and going to power seats from manual..There are alot of threads ( mostly older ) that the hardest thing to get correct is the memory of the new seats...And the settings button is in the door of a Maxima...I've decided to hold onto the seats until I'm positive this can be done without my dying from old age first..lol

Started tearing the replacement seats apart...Gonna strip the leather off and try fitting it to my original seats...These seats are very close in size to my original, but I want to get a pro to put some extra support in the seats and figure out a lumbar fix where I don't need a towel or cushion...
