So i scored one of the larger passenger side mirrors from a 4runner today(now i have the pair to convert over) and a windshield washer bottle that came out of the engine bay of a 96 tacoma mine is a different setup mounted below the inner fender... but the junkyard one doesnt leak so im in business now i just unplugged the extension harness and it plugged right into my truck

also noticed the truck is a 4 banger auto 5 lug. but its optioned with cruise control factory setup. what all is needed to be pirated. obviously the servo in the engine compartment, the switch on the steering column(wish i could take that too its tilt but its damaged from someone hacking up the ignition tumbler)

what else do i need? I assume there is a switch on the pedal for the brake? i have a 5spd this truck was auto so there is probably a clutch switch as well?

there was a thread somewhere on this, you'll need a few switches for the clutch/brake/etc but I can't find it right now :(

    hopefully someone remembers

You'll need the brake-light switch and CC computer.
Maybe a new (longer) throttle cable.

Is the throttle cable same from auto and 5spd trucks?

Don't know for sure, but tranny shouldn't matter for length of throttle cable. Engine would likely make a difference, however.

I used parts from a Camry of the same year as mine (actuator and brake switch), and 4runner (CC switch) for my project. The actuator mounting bracket was not quite right, but I made it work. Someday, I'll get the right bracket, but that will require a longer throttle cable (pedal to actuator).

The right computer was the hardest item to locate. It has to be exactly the version that would have come from the factory for your particular truck. I had to order from a wrecker in Washington state, after looking locally for over a year.

I'm pretty sure the kick panel was in place so I doubt someone removed it then put it back in place if the computer was prayed it probably world have been removed

This might be the part (CC computer) you'll need (behind the passenger kick panel) :

When I went to the local wrecker with the OEM part #, he didn't have it, but was able to give me a list of other wreckers on the west coast who did have the exact part I wanted. I called the one in Washington state, and was able to order one. It doesn't seem to be tranny-specific.
