    This is why I hate so much news covering the police - so much sensationalism and political scape-goating when something bad happens. It makes good officers second-guess what they should be doing. That split second is when they get shot, someone else gets shot, etc...

    Don't get me wrong - some local oversight is necessary just because of the bad cops out there abusing their power. But right now, too much.
