My sister just bought a little Toyota Prius C for ridding around town. It was under $20k.
She has heated seats for driver & passenger, and you can unlock both sides with just
    touching handle.
My $35k Tacoma has no heated seats and only driver's side unlocks with touching handle.
I love my truck, and have no problems with it ,but dang couldn't they at least put in power
    seats for the premium price.

I have the limited and only my drivers side has keyless entry. It'd not just Toyota it's Alot of other makers that do the same. I have heated seats so no complaints on that. And as for the non power seats. Since Alot of Toyota are for work and off road and not all its better to have manual seats. Doesn't break down at all. I seen Alot of power seats go out and it's very expensive to fix. I just did a Tahoe seat frame with 8 way adjustable seating and the assembly alone without labor is close to 500 bucks and labor is 1.5 hours. I did a Toyota camry leather seat seat frame for a friend and he got the seat frame used and it costs him 350. But I do agree they should atleast give the option .

How many times do you have to re-adjust your seat? My wife's Chevy has adjustable seats, she's only 5 ft tall and I'm always waiting for it to move back just so I can drive. Most times I just climb into the passenger side and let her drive it so she doesn't have to re-adjust again.

People already complain about a Tacoma touching $40k, what are they going to do when it hits $45k for the additional creature comforts?

Average new car cost today is $33k, my DCLB TRD OR 4X4 had an MSRP of $36.8k so it's hardly a premium considering it also comes with a 4 wheel drivetrain when compared to an average car with power seats.

Let's all take a moment to consider the trades people, agriculture workers, landscapers, and all others who depend on a pickup truck for their daily bread.....many of these folks would be happy with hand crank roll up windows

Don't forget that a $15k Corolla has LED low-beam projector headlights, and you've got halogens on your truck ;)

Agreed absolutely. I have fancy schmancy power umpteen-way seats in my Sequoia and the motor is getting lazy and the switches stick. I'd trade for the good old manual lever sliding seats any day.

They really, really want you to buy the Prius. You can have all of those things if you buy one too.

Yea, but if you buy a Prius you have to relinquish your man-card.

As for the Prius thing... no thanks. I'll pay extra for the weight and height of a larger safer vehicle that can hold it's own in a one-on-one vehicle collision. It's called inertia. Airbags and crumple zones only do so much. I'd take a 1998 Crown Vic or a 2001 Chevy one ton in a collision any day over a new lightweight super safe gas sipper.

Tacoma is an entry level midsize truck, and a Tacoma Limited is an entry level midsize truck with a nice trim package..

If you want a well appointed truck, it will cost you another $20k. Trucks cost more than cars, and car like trucks cost more than Tacoma's.

Nah, airbags, crumple zones, and properly constructed passenger compartments win every single time ...
