    Almost certainly you have a "port installed" Toyota VIP RS3000 security system. This was a common fitment in the day. It should show on your original as-sold details found by VIN on toyota.com. Yes, it should have a remote keyless fob.

    2001 TRD 4x4 379k and counting
    im original owner of a 2001 with TRD package. they did not come from factory with keyless entry. it was a dealer add on. i remember because it took the guy a good 6 hours to install mine because they had changed the wiring in 2001 and mine was the first one he had done.
