I have an ARE CX. I have stiffeners, several extra clamps and bed bars. The bungee is just for beer kegs. We occasionally sit up top at races....

You don't happen to have pictures (or part #!) for the OEM rubber plugs, do you?

The part numbers for the plugs are 6254104010 & 6254204010 (the two sides are different). These run about $31 each from Toyota [!].

    Super helpful, thanks!

Also...interesting to hear you added sealant under the bedrail caps. I've never had an issue with water intrusion, but will consider doing that if it becomes a problem.

Thank you all for this advice, as I just ordered the All Pro Offroad bed stiffeners yesterday. Seems I'm still lookin' for as the song says. "Faster horses, younger women, older whiskey, more money..."
    Enjoy the weekend!

Came onto this thread a little late. Not to rain on this parade, but I put bed stiffeners on prior to my cap. I don't think it made a lick of difference. That damage is most likely just it shifting. Or, installed too far forward. I would be more likely impressed if the gap between your tailgate and bed sides were bigger up top than on bottom. Which your photo doesn't show. Next truck and cap I get, I won't bother.

I had the same issue when removing my cap but don’t think it’s from bed flex, I assumed it just happened from the cap shifting or getting taken on and off. I ended up using touch up and then leveling and then put about 2 inches of clear vinyl paint protection film around the whole upper edges of the sides of my bed and the upper portion of the tailgate.

I'm preparing my 2023 DCSB OR for a Snugtop Rebel. Can talk more about the "OEM rubber plugs in the front corners of the bed"? Are these for the top corners just below the top rail, or the drain holes?

Stock with a camper shell for now.
Buying a Tacoma next week with 75k miles and a topper I wonder if it’s like that under it I will have to take a look and install bed stiffness asap
