Yeah I'll get there. Mine just started so I've been trying to replicate it all week. Playing with it I guess.

Got ya, .....can I ask if this happened from day 1 , or did it spontaneously just happen one day? Thanks. Also, what is the mileage on your truck.
I also see that you have an OR, these seem to be the most problematic out of the bunch, to me anyhow.

I remember one time we had come to AZ for Vacation. While here I bought an 81 Ford P/U. My wife was driving my Grand Nat back behind me somewhere. We were in this line of traffic on a 2 lane, and all the sudden this Camaro goes hauling ass by all of us. Next thing I know, there goes this black streak screaming past us, chasing it down. "Hmmm. There goes my car" I said to myself. She caught it too.

Yes, it has changed quite a bit, have not been on 51 for a while myself.
I usually take Rt.65 , Ohio River Boulevard to PNC Park or Heinz Field and The Rivers Casino, too many cops on the Rt.51 side for me....if I am heading down town, its I376 East, which actually used to be Rt.60S, yeah, they fucked it all up man....hahaha. Penn Dot.

Ok, so around 3000 on the odometer it started then. Is your rear diff the same exact one I have in my SR? I am not sure on this part of it.....I wonder if its just a TRD OR or Sport thing.......you wouldnt happen to know the size of yours compared to my SR?

No I don't think so. You have the tried and true 8" and I have the new to this US body style 8.75" with internal locker actuator.

MT also came with 8.75" regardless of locker in the TRD. I think

I wonder if anyone with a 16 - 17 SR, with the 8 inch diff, is having this problem ? And this may be model specific to the 8.75s it seems.....This really sucks for the TRD owners, if this is the case. .

I think the last guy that had a rear diff grenade was in a Limited, not sure which rear is in that one.

Can I ask if you have had your trans fluid checked, all TSBs current , and your rear and front diffs oil checked also? I mean, not that it matters under warranty, but just wondered if Toyota, or you, yourself have done this. It just cannot be something this easy it seems.

    My truck was built 1/17.

I assume the TSBs were done before I got it? At least the tranny ones because I have no issues with that.

I have read and reread the tranny fluid check for the 6-speed auto and I'm still on the fence about it. I'm very tempted to take it to my local trusty tranny shop and let them check it.

My Toyota dealer is 60 miles away and I'm not sure they can do it after such a long drive. I'm going to ask at my 5k check up.

Diff fluid I haven't but it's on my list now with this hum. Hopefully this weekend.
