Thank you! I removed the OEM roof rack in preparation to getting my GFC. The GFC won't have enough clearance with most roof racks at the sleeping section of the camper.

Spent the weekend driving from Fort Collins to Bozeman and back. Picked up the GFC and stayed in Yellowstone for the night. Saw elk, bison, and wolves. Also went to the Museum of the Rockies and saw a T-Rex which was nice. Pretty cool trip, just super quick. Anyways, heres some pics.

Got a few little things knocked off the mods list. Put some levels on the front and side of the GFC, tinted the back window of the GFC and added a rock deflector to hopefully keep some rocks off of the windshield. Also hoping that i'll be able to take the truck on a week long camping trip around Utah during the end of the month.

Just got back from taking the truck out for a week long road trip to southern Utah with the girlfriend. After the trip, I realized my girlfriend loves off roading so I was trying to refrain from getting a lift but it's going to happen now. We had a blast and were able to get our use out of the GFC. Many trips planned after this one. This is just going to be a huge photo dump so enjoy! Fort Collins- Moab- Canyonlands- Capitol Reef- Bryce Canyon- Zion- back home.

Started the trip by going straight to Moab and introducing my girlfriend to a mild off road trail of Gemini Bridges road. Stayed the night up there and let her drive a bit. She LOVED it and will be ordering a lift soon. Haha

    IMG_0520.jpg

    IMG_0523.jpg

Woke up the next morning and did the Shafer Trail and Potash Road.

    IMG_0537.jpg

    IMG_0535.jpg

    IMG_0539.jpg

Once completing Potash Rd., we went into Moab to stop at the Quesadilla truck and then headed towards Capital Reef. We ended up finding a great campsite right outside the east side of the park on Cathedral Rd.

    IMG_0648.jpg

    IMG_0595.jpg

    IMG_0647.jpg

Made our way through Capitol Reef and found a fun FS road to check out just north of Boulder. The trail ended up at a nice campsite near a cool lake.

    IMG_0667.jpg

Did a cool hike on our way from Boulder to Escalante.

    IMG_0686.jpg

Thought we were going to camp at this spot outside of Escalante but it ended up being too cold.

    IMG_0691.jpg

Ended up camping here instead. Much better.

    IMG_0700.jpg

    IMG_0701.jpg

Made it to Bryce Canyon the next day and did a hike followed by a shower.

    IMG_0718.jpg

    IMG_0756.jpg

    IMG_0754.jpg

Leaving Bryce, we headed down towards Zion hoping to catch the lottery for Angels Landing. Lucked out and won then camped outside the east entrance to the park.

    IMG_0776.jpg

Went to Zion NP the next day and hiked Angels Landing. My girlfriends first time and my 3rd time.

In other news, I bought a set of Maxtrax MKII with mounting pins for the bed and set them up to mount on the back side of the bed. Also, bought a set of used Method NV 305s from Colorado_Taco17 that'll go on sometime.

Nothing too crazy new with the build quite yet. Things have been busy but my girlfriend and I get out when we can. Just finished up our last camping trip for the season. Want to refine our setup a little but overall loving the GFC! Here are some pics from some of our camping trips this past summer

Been a while since I updated this thread. Added some Methods, went camping for the first time this season, and threw on an OME lift.

Just got back from a 8 day camping trip to Idaho. I've said it before, and i'll say it again, Idaho is massively under-rated. Wyoming and Montana pics too.

Looks like Poet Creek camp ground in one of those pics. Spent a week at that spot and explored on a 4wheeler.

You're right! That was Poet Creek. Great way to spend a week out there!

I love your build man! Just stumbled across it.

It’s always nice to see another person building their rig with stuff they need instead of buying parts for cool points.

I’m curious…How are you liking those duratracs? I see a lot of mixed reviews on them.

It seems like we use our trucks very similarly. A ton of highway miles and also trails. My Grabbers are getting loud AF as they wear and I’m gonna be replacing them soon.

Thanks man! I went through my "cool points" phase with my last Tacoma but wanted a simpler build this time around and I have no regrets. Honestly, I really like the Duratracs. I know there are a lot of mixed reviews out there about them but I had them on my last truck for 85k miles and I didn't have a single issue with them. Granted, I rotated them often, most miles were highway miles crossing the country a few times, and I don't really do any hard core wheeling which is probably why they lasted a while (just forest service roads and trails to campsites mainly). They are getting a little louder but nothing too crazy. I have about 30k miles on the current set with a 50k mile warranty and they still look barely broken in. That being said, the only other AT tire i've had is the previous version of the BFG ATs and they were ok and I went with the Duratracs because I wanted to try something different. Just with my experience with them, i'll be buying them again.

I could definitely see how you wouldn't see another person for a couple days. Sounds like a dream. We went and stayed overnight on a Sunday and it wasn't too crazy, maybe saw 8 people the whole trail.

Thanks for the info! it’s good to hear from someone who does the same type of driving that I do.

I’m definitely subscribed to your build now!

Been a while since I posted on here. Mostly been getting the truck ready for the summer. Got new tires, axle shims for rear end vibes, OTT Tune (Mild), and installed the OVS awning.

Few changes with the truck but mostly with the GFC. Took off the AVS window vents, got a cab mount chop for bigger tires in the future at some point, and some new SCS Ray 10s. For the GFC, I replaced the zippers with some soft zippers pulls so they're quieter, Hest mattress, bed netting catch, phone storage for upstairs, GFC ladder, GFC headliner, and upgraded latches. Slowly upgrading things to make the GFC more comfortable.
