Since I'm cooler than Old Brett, I'll chime in. I had a Firestick and couldn't tune that thing for the life of me. Bought a Wilson and it's perfectly tuned.

Haha. I just bought a Wilson and could not tune the thing at all. It sucked. Never tried a Firestick. Love my Tigers.

Since I am Brett, I'll answer, even if I'm not who you were referring too.

Been very happy with my Wilson Flex. It has held up well to smashing into tree branches and stuff on the trails. Not as much of a fan of the heavy fiberglass antenna swinging around on a spring.

Oh, and workbench update. Couple coats of boiled linseed oil this weekend, and added the Amazon special drill press. Very happy with it thus far. Just need to add a vise and I'll be set:

PS: Still love the work bench. Very practical.

Can't wait for old Brett to go "smoke signal" old school, or maybe cups with string.

I use some kind of wire mini whip, I can't remember the name. Would recommend if I could.
This is like the the best pic I could find.

A number of us are running the Hustler HQ-27 on a hood hinge mount for CB. Really nice setup, great reception, mid vehicle mount for ground plane so you aren't too directional. Looks like @Star-Lord has a similar setup, but I can't tell from the pic if it's the exact same antenna.

You can get them at CB Shop & More in Loveland.

Hustler sounds familiar, pretty sure that's it, and that CB shop is where I bought it.

Yeah there was some very specifically phrased googling to find the model number. Didn't want to show up on any internet log files here at work.
