yes! the local slot car track was my haven. they even had a pool table. ^_^

i had plenty of the small in home versions but nothing beat the real deal with the larger faster scale.

    .
Don's Hobbies in Greeley had one on the 2nd floor. Might be before your time though.

It was a sad day when he moved out of that 3 story bldg, partnered up with a tropical fish guy in a low class strip mall and went out of business less than a year later.

I got so excited until I noticed that first line was in past tense...Makes me want to break my train set out though. I used to do it every Christmas with my dad and haven't in a while...Might be time to resurrect the tradition

Is this the world's slowest tree chopper downer?

Hasn't he been working on that tree for months now?

    Is he eating it?

I'd just cut it from the bottom, make sure it fell towards the camera, then fix the fence.
One day tops, no climbing involved.

Lots of dust and custom dents, Check Build
    That makes me wonder,

How many hours does this guy have into this project? That bill must be adding up fast. Surely is would be much more cost effective to take down the fence, drop the tree in the road, and rebuild the fence.

You guys are assuming this is his only job. I'm sure he charges by the job, not the hour.
I think the climbing skills are a hobby that he has managed to incorporate into a profession. He really doesn't look stressed at all.

Most trimmers would charge upwards of $6000.00 to remove a tree like that. My mother had a cottonwood removed last month of similar size that was right at that amount.

He did the one next door in about a week, weather was better and the days were much longer. Assuming $5000.00 for the week, that's not too bad.

Aside from chainsaw maintenance and some gas/ropes, he has no overhead. By himself, he pockets it all except for income tax, assuming he pays it.

And in a very liberal city, the fact that he's quiet and green (not running heavy machinery) prolly means he's booked year around.
