yes, but it ain't gay. Well I suppose it could be. But I'm not gay. Not that there is anything wrong with that.
Back in the day "gay" meant happy.
Somewhere along the way it was used to describe men who had sworn off women and seemed happy about it.

Is this still a thread about trains? I spent some time at the Colorado railroad museum today with the family. This is the oldest railroad engine in Colorado. I don't recall the exact year but it was in the 1800's.

This was originally a C&S engine from 1898 to 1901. Nice pic.
2-8-0 consolidation. It's prolly the oldest surviving steam engine in Colorado.

This is a model one of it's brothers, which did not survive in real life.

With the exception of the phony out-of-scale front coupler, it's a pretty good replica.
If you look close at the real b&w pic that was posted, on the front of the cow catcher is a link and pin draw bar that was used for front coupling.

Here's another picture I thought was cool. Not sure about any of the history behind this one.

    That's a 3' narrow gauge 2-8-2 K36 Mikado engine. Another nice pic.
Notice the outside counterweights on the drive wheels.

It's hard to tell from the angle, that one could actually be another 2-8-0, standard gauge, basing this entirely on the short cab. It is a newer version being that it has the steel cab and the external generator.

Those yellow passenger cars are impossible to find right now in an "N" scale model. They were discontinued several years ago and are quite the collector item. I've been searching for a set for years now. Athearn is the only company that made an authentic set.
The open air passenger car that is coupled right behind them just recently came out for sale in On30 scale. I do have a set of the yellow cars in On30 as well, so I'll have to get the open air cars to complete the set.
