Thanks for the advice, Im going to be very calm about the situation and polite because I know that no one wants to help you when they are being yelled at. First I will see what they say and if they dont want to help, like you said I will take it to the toyota dealer here in Chattanooga and get them to to look over it and document everything. I will reframe from putting the dealership on blast and going nuclear until I find out more. Everybody here has been helpful. It is my first time buying from a dealership and dealing with a new vehicle. Thanks again.

I’m curious why the lifters and rockers were replaced? That’s not normal at all.

Also I could possibly send someone the service reports, I downloaded them all. If someone wants to look over them and tell me what you think.

    You have a good approach.

Don't get me wrong ... there is a time and a place for lawyers. No question. But most of these issues can be solved by working things through. As I see it, you have a strong argument -- they sold you a truck that they knew had issues that they could not resolve. That bodes in your favor.

Don't forget to at least call Toyota and open a case file. Documentation is really important here.

Hope it all works out !

Something fishy happened. That’s such an odd repair. Unless they did it thinking that was the noise when in all reality it was the vacuum pump. Odd. Too bad there isn’t a better description of why.

It does have a loud tick/knock on the passenger side, but I found other videos on the forum with the same sound. So I guess its normal.

And the vacuum pump has been replaced twice.

Yes the vacuum pump and high pressure fuel pump are loud on these new 3.5ls especially when the injectors are in the cleaning mode.

Simple question for you. Was this disclosed prior to you buying the truck or did you only find our after you made the purchase?

No nothing was disclosed, they just gave me a general carfax report which had no descriptions of why it was serviced. After I noticed these issues I went to toyota.com and downloaded the full service reports and seen that the original owner was having the same problems as me. After looking through the electronic paperwork i signed , I signed a as is disclaimer that states
THE MOTOR VEHICLE DESCRIBED ABOVE IS SOLD “AS IS”. “AS IS” SPECIFICALLY MEANS THAT PURCHASER HAS INSPECTED AND

ACCEPTS THE VEHICLE PURCHASED HERE UNDER IN ITS PRESENT CONDITION REGARDLESS OF ANY DEFECTS WHICH MAY PRESENTLY EXIST IN SUCH VEHICLE.

So i may have screwed myself.

I wouldn't go that far ... standard paperwork. Remember, you also still have a truck under warranty -- hence the reason to notify Toyota and open a case. You see anything in the paperwork that talks about returning the vehicle?

Don't panic yet. Run the process -- ask them to remedy it, seek another dealer and talk to Toyota. You still have warranty protection.

My 2019 had this issue and they replaced the drum brakes completely and that fixed it. Happened at 10k miles.

No worries. Just seems weird that the dealer wouldn't do that if it was not that expensive ... seems like it would be better to get the car to another service location and have it looked at.

I would look for a Toyota Master Diagnostic Technician ... and also see if Toyota will spring for the major inspection. If not, I would seriously consider doing it at this point. Like this:

    https://www.stevensonhendricktoyota.com/cpo-160

Just throwing additional ideas out there as OP pursues resolution ...

There is a TSB for driveline vibrations that involves new leaf springs that just came out last month. But I would pursue brake concerns first
