I'm from NOLA. Katrina cars are gone. They were mostly crushed as they had a program stopping people from buying them as they didn't seem to want them getting into circulation I guess. Trust me I wanted to buy a few flooded cars.

Also Ike?? Ike didn't flood us? I lost my house and a car in Katrina, but that was 8-29-05. Plus the car is in Colorado, I'm more worried about Salt as it was bought from Oregon.

You know, I bet you got a great deal ... because it's a PreRunner in Colorado. They do NOT sell here, and a fair number of the used Tacos at dealerships in Colorado are PreRunners ... mostly because people move into the state, experience their first snow and trade them in.

Used Taco 4x4s are hugely overpriced in the state. But you can definitely get smoking PreRunner deals. Congrats, OP! Enjoy it. And enjoy Colorado while you're here.

It's possible that the dealership was having a hard time selling it due to it being a Prerunner, don't know for sure how those move through dealers in Colorado...even though, great price for what it appears to be and the condition it is in, at least what you can tell.

edit: oops...previous poster beat me to it...

Good grab. I'll be following this thread to see what the ultimate outcome is; it's hard to see you losing on this deal, though.

Good point, I wouldn't live in CO without 4x4.
I just can't have a 4x4 anymore. I'm bad with them. We only have mud here, and I tend to have too much fun. Flipped a Cherokee, blew two motors in a Montero, blew a differential in a blazer... And it just gets too costly for me. I can't have a 4x4 and not go drive through the spillway. Lands flat here, you just don't need 4x4. But when I have something, I'm going to find a way to use it.

Makes sense they don't sell in that state though.

How many miles does the truck have on it? I did not see that in any of the posts...

Not trying to scare you or put down on this deal but just makes me wonder what else they might be lying about? Hope it works out for you. I've wondered how the Ebay deals on vehicles worked. I figured you must have the option to back out when seen in person. :notsure: Good luck!

Looks like a nice truck from the photos..... but I have learned that the pretty stuff will screw you quicker than rough looking stuff (least it seams that way in cinci town). That being said I wish you the best of luck and I am sure things will be o.k. for you.

Well I noticed at one point it said the options included 17"s then it says 18"s twice in the ads. But I would prefer 16"s.

I have a one month old set of Pirelli Scropions 265/75r16 that would fit nicely.. Just swap the dodge and the taco tires.

You are braver than me, but hiring the mechanic to check it out was a good move. Hope it works out.

That was my thought, did they just slap on some stickers? For OPs sake I hope it is legit.

VIN number and carfax show it as one. It has the V-6. I thought for the access cab to get the V-6 it had to have the TRD package.

    Badging looks legit

Then, I'm pretty sure I read Toyota only offered the stock trailer hitch with the 7-pin controller with the TRD package.

    So I thinks its legit....

It doesnt, but I would trust the report pulled from the VIN.
