If that's a rear differential locker switch in your picture it's a Offroad. Here's a picture of where it's located in my 07 (middle top row.)

I think you're right (about it being a TRD Offroad), I just noticed you dont have a A-TRAC or DAC button, just the rear locker and the inverter.

HOWEVER, I have an SR5 4X4 non-TRD and I have the full tow package with 7-pin, so you're wrong there.

if you do your homework, sight unseen is ok.

i purchased a very low mile sight unseen 2001 Cherokee Classic from Chicago while living in DC and a 2005 S2000 sight unseen from a few cities over once I moved down south.

both of them had zero problems (later modded the Cherokee a bit too much though, lol, but that was my fault)

any time you buy a vehicle not under warranty it is a total crap shoot so you have to at least hedge your bet by checking everything you can, even if you're not able to put your hands on it :)

An ARE camper shell, a 1000w power inverter.

I think I got SR5 and TRD mixed up, some can be both, right?

Very new to these trucks.. So new I don't even have one yet.

Good-luck with the new purchase. The camper shell looks great, makes the truck.

When I first got the bug to buy a Tacoma, it was from seeing a truck like yours at the local dealer. I even managed to dig up a pic......

Will do. I'll bump the thread and update the title (if possible).

I got a busy weekend ahead. Then CO on Monday. Plane leaves NOLA at 6am, lands in Denver at 7:45; take Bus to Boulder, transfer, take second bus to dealer. Should have the car by lunch time.

All TRD's are SR5's - the SR5 package is a prerequisite for the TRD package.

    Looking forward to the updates!

When I arrived here on TW, I didn't even know what a PreRunner was, never saw one on a lot. I'm assuming they don't even bother shipping them to Minnesota...

I think I'll be fine. I can remember seeing snow when I was six, 20 and 26. That's the only three times I've seen it. Not counting snow peaks on mountains, and snow that melts when it hits the ground.

Snow very rare here. All I need is A/C. Though the ground clearance will help as I dive on the worst roads in the country.

I would trust the Carfax on that, especially through a dealer.:notsure: An individual could potentially repair a vehicle without a claim to an insurance agent, but I'm betting it was inspected to at least some extent at a dealership.
