Yep... Its Funny its listed as 16's 17s & 18s all on the same page. It clearly states the 18's were a post production option. Yes...for 9900, he made out like a bandit. I hope it drives nice for him. Hell...it even has a warranty.

An ARE camper shell, a 1000w power inverter.
Yeah I wasn't going to say the specific amount I paid, but he knocked $400 off of that because the wheels weren't 18"s and that it had paint chips missing on two fender flares. I took some pics, but I'm having internet problems. I'm on a hotel computer.

It drives like a dream. It is so clean. It has synthetic oil so clean, I would put it in my salad dressing, purple anitifreeze, all the fluids look very clean. Not a speck of rust. (not counting the exhaust, which always rusts on the surface).

It had a tag on it asking for $14,999. Not only that it has all the documents in it. The last owner had financed it for 60 months 10k miles ago. He financed 12,000 and would owe $25,350 after interest.

So with everything paid (except my state taxes) I'm out close to $10k.

The only problems it has are....... The compass/thermometer don't work
Paint chips on driver side front fender flare and passenger rear. It had a pushed in spot by the passenger fog-light, but the mechanic at the dealership heated it up and pulled it out. So I have three panels I need painted, but I'm in no rush to do that.

It had a small hole on the drivers seat as well, and a funky B.O. smell(previous owner was Pakistani).

It rides great, was well maintained, has a bluetooth hands-free kit custom installed as well as a XM radio.

Its missing the cupholder that goes under the radio and the cargo net in the console.

Other than that, I feel it was a deal. I wanted the bigger rims, and was led to believe the paint was pristine. But from reading this site I have found that paint chipping on the wheel wells is not uncommon.

I will upload pics tomorrow. Gonna make a vacation out of it going rafting tomorrow.

I can't see any problems with it as far as driving. The engine is so quiet I have already turned the key to start while it was running.(I'm used to V-8s with flowmaster)

I'm loving it, put 175 miles on it today. Great on gas so far. Trying to fix the compass, and get the XM turned on for the trip home. I'm happy with it. I didn't even ask for any money off, he just didn't want bad feedback as he has mostly high end autos for sale.

If you look at the auction link, you can see the paint chip missing. He let it be know he lost money on this deal. I wonder what he had in it.?.

The ONLY thing I'm iffy about is I didn't get the title yet, but to be honest I have only ever gotten the title the same day when buying private party. I have tons of documents saying its mine signed by him and I doubt he is a fraud. Especially since he let me drive his RS6 while my bumper was being fixed.

Glad you made out well! If you have not already seen it, you *should* be able to easily fix that compass. There is a very long thread about it. They go out often, but are easy to fix and if done right, it should last you. I just finally got around to fixing mine after driving for 10k miles. Nice to have temp now :D

Thanks for the updates. Seems like a lot of people were hatin, but it looked like a hell of a deal from the get-go to me. Less than 10 grand for a clean 2nd gen? A few paint chips? Hell, that's nothing. Might even be better since now you know it hasn't had any major body work, recently anyway. I bet that dealer paid 12 grand for that thing. Damn good find man.
