My factory wheels are steel 16s. looking at used wheels from craigslist. I assume TRD 17s fit with no problems.

Will 17s throw off my speedo and how would that be corrected?

a lot of bad ass stuff
going from a 16 to a 17" wheel shouldn't throw off your speedo(to my understanding). going to a bigger and heavier tire will though. In which most cases the driver doesn't worry about the speedo being off. However some guys have used a recalibration device from Hypertech ( i believe this one would work for you, i just did a quick Amazon search, https://www.amazon.com/Hypertech-73...pertech+speedometer+recalibration+tacoma+2018 ) I have thought about going this route myself, but have not yet.
you should be fine on the TPMS sensors being switched over.
