I trade vehicles in pretty often. Usually in/out of Toyotas and Hondas. I’ve purchased four Honda Civics since 2016.

The Ridgeline also has a nice spot for your purse. Right behind that dainty push button shifter :)

Can't say anything about owning multiple gen3 tacoma's this being first ever owned, but once the truck broke in some it runs and shifts super smooth...sometimes you don't even feel it change gears except for the tach.

You need to speak to my cousin that bought a new ridgeline last year....he's always afraid to drive the new honda to my home....gotta ask me first if the roads are ok.

Zero issues with my 2019 OR. Too early to say yet but it just may turn out tot be the best truck I’ve ever owned…

i have the shudder too at low rpms unless using 91 octane fuel. the shudder becomes extremely annoying when i put 87 in.

It’s seems all these issues are either exaggerated or simply random. People routinely label the 2016 as the worst year model. My 16’ has over 150k miles with no issues other than a dead battery a year ago.

My '21 DCSB TRD OR was also built Feb 2021. No issues with gear hunt, shuddering, vibrations or any of the complaints I have seen on TW.

I dunno, I'd still put my purse in the passenger seat but I wouldn't be caught dead driving a Ridgeline to begin with.

Mine is my first Tacoma and first Toyota. Mine did shift weird, sometimes a bit hard and hunted a bit in the first 2-3 thousand miles. Now that it has 9,000 miles and soon 10,000 it shifts smooth like you said.

But you don't live at the mall, right? Like that movie where Tom Hanks lives in the airport.

I hear ya though. My driveway is the reason I have a 4X4. The first 500 feet are flat and welcoming. The last 220 feet ensure I don't have frequent visitors. Not to mention the 7km of poorly maintained dirt road I live down.

Having had 3 3rd gen's my 16' had transmission issues, it was over qt low, TW blog helped with that one, got good milage. The 19 had all kinds of noises, mileage sucked, now my 21 is the best one so far. After reading a lot the stuff here these things are all over the place, most seem to like them and have few if any problems. I also had a gen 1 I was comparing my 16' to, I don't think that helped.

I thought everyone in Fargo only bought full size domestics because the wife's shopping from West Acres? I've always noticed that Corwin had nothing when I bought my 2018 in Dec of 2018

Only experienced nothing on the lot when the 3rd gen came out, and now. But I like things that fit in my short garage. I have the older Eidco home w/o the wood foundation.

Thats plain weird. 87 works best in my truck. If i use premium i get more gear changes, or hunting, and less power....even the tail pipe on the exhaust changes color to a very sooty black instead of a light pale beige/gray.

Thats seems exactly how my first tacoma began....the first 1,200 miles or so had me questioning what i got into buying this tacoma. Now at nearly 10k miles its perfect.
