Got an amazing deal on a brand new MX$ so I decided to replace my cracked and faded OEM cover.

I'm not concerned about a little water, but there are some very large slots from the cutouts for the old cover. Any ideas on how I can fill these aside from filling them full of silicone?

See if someone wants the old cover and do a rail cap swap with them , they get a cover you get hole free caps , win win

Easier to replace the plastic caps . Might leak and look like shit with silicone.

So I just did a little research into how much new ones would cost... they're around $100-110 each! I'm gonna troll some local salvage yards and see what I can find. I also emailed BakFlip... lets see what they suggest.

TBh, that's not as bad as I would have imagined. Of course finding salvage or selling old cover and swapping would obv be the winner.

Good luck receiving a reply from bakflip. Your junkyard suggestion is your best low cost permanent fix. Shopping around for a discount on dealership parts is another idea. In the mean time you could always use some black in color gorilla tape to cover those slots and keep water out temporarily.
