That's where I'm at also. It is easy to mod and do all kinds of crazy stuff to the truck. It is fun, sure, and for me it has done everything I have ever asked it to do at this point, but with the thousands of dollars I've sunk into it, I should had kept it stock as well.

Then again, stock is for old people. :D

    Oh the indecision.

Well said, when I first bought mine, I told the wife I was not going to mod it, had a Jeep to beat on. 3 weeks later I lifted it, slapped on some new tires, skids and went wheeling. Sold the Jeep and dumped the money into the Tacoma. It goes where I want to go. Moab, CO, Idaho and other states. Wish I never sold my 1st Gen, that was a freaking big mistake. All stock and only had 45K on it.

What i have currently done is nothing major: LEDs, anti tweaker tailgate, head unit has been ordered, floor mat upgrade, maybe cool TRD mountain sticker. I am by no means an old guy, but I prefer reliability and not replacing CVs constantly. (Don’t know if it’s a similar issue but the lift on my Subaru ate CVs like they were candy).

Really I’m just looking for convenience and bringing a Stock 15 year old truck into the future.

Ok refund on the warranty has been started. They say 6-8 weeks.
I’ll keep looking for non-intricate mods to make driving the truck more enjoyable, but I agree to not get crazy on mods right off the bat.

So you're going to replace worn stock parts with new stock parts to replace later with non stock parts? I must be confused.

Best color there is. Oh and as far as modding the truck.... there is a federal law that says a warranty can not be voided just because you modded the vehicle. The mod must be shown to have caused the failure. I am not sure if it applies to 3rd party warranties or if it does apply because the warranty was sold by Toyota.

The cool trd mountain sticker was actually for a "rugged trail " edition of TRD off road model for 2008

    Congratulations on your new truck.

The warranty is usually in the sellers favor. Probably a good idea to request refund. The fine print on third party warranty’s can seem infinite.

    Was the frame replaced?
