So its got manual Cv's, manual diff, manual pretty much everything... But I still can't come to understand why there isn't enough CV. Even on the ''correct''hub that I have, the CV doesn't poke thru, it sits in the spline, but compared to the other pics it doesn't apaer to be the same length. Does anyone have any comparison pics of their CV's on first gen's with manual hubs?

Looks about right to me, I believe the manual hubs do the rest to lock it.

Stupid question, have you put the snap ring shown in the diagram I posted on the CV? At rest the CV is not fully extended and the CV should have a little play in it to allow you to extend it. the snap ring holds it out far enough for the hub to engage but I'm just going off that diagram and memory.

@Wulf is showing the best of what TW has to offer. Dude’s remotely doing everything he can to help fix @skedrc’s truck. Very cool.

Well, I got everything back together and it was looking good, until I realized I forgot I didn't put in the little splined spacers that go behind the C-Clip =/..... How big of a deal are those?

Gotcha. The front Cv's are not spinning right now because I only have one hub and it isn't locked, nor is the driveshaft connected. I feel as if they just help hold the C-Clip in place and don't let the cv's wobble as much..

I am not sure, I just know they put them on for a reason. I dont think you want to be replacing shit again 6 months down the road for a one day loss of taking it back apart and doing it right.

It's all good, I can understand how frustrating it can be to land in the spot you're in.

I've definitely been in jams before and the members here and on other boards have helped me sort things out. The whole community benefits when we help each other. It just happens that I did my CVs and rebuilt my hubs recently so this topic is particularly fresh :)
