    Hey all,

Just bought my new 2010 4x4 Tacoma DC TRD Sport (Magnetic Gray). I previously had a 2x4 Mazda B4000 with 176K on it which I traded in for 1100. I'm really enjoying the truck and feel like a got a pretty decent deal from Bryan Easler Toyota in Hendersonville, NC. No one in Charlotte had the exact truck I wanted and none were able to come down to what Bryan Easler offered on the price.

I was torn between offroad and the sport but went with the sport since I really don't need the additional features. I'm impartial to the hood scoop so not a factor there, although it has grown on me some.

Anyways, if there is anyone out there looking to buy, I thought I'd post what I paid as I found it useful when buying mine.

    MSRP with no discount: 32,899
Price Paid: 28,174 with 0% financing (27,674 if I didn't take the financing deal)
Taxes and title were right around $900 (3% rate in NC)

They offered a non-manufacturer extended warranty for $1,200 but I turned it down. After reading on here I am glad I did and will probably wait until 30K+ to buy the Toyota extended warranty to avoid the unneeded amortization of my warranty cost. If I do end up getting rid of it between now and then I could lose a good portion of what I paid when they pro rate it.

I'm thinking I leave everything pretty much stock unless someone can sale me otherwise ;)

Thanks guys. The 0% 3 years financing was extended to August 2nd in the Southeast. Some of the dealers tried to tell me it was over in June and tried to get me to take a truck before month end. But a couple others that I talked to told me that it had been extended to Aug 2nd so I called BS and didn't buy into the pressure.

You can finance at 2.9% over 4 years and like 4.3% for 5 years with the financing deal. At least this was the deal with the NC dealers I spoke with. I'll have a hefty payment but it will feel good to own this thing outright in 3 years. Should have a decent chunk of equity at that point but I plan to keep it well over 100K.

I initially looked for an 07-09 and decided to go with a new one since the price drop for a low mileage truck in those years was so ridiculously small.

looks like I may have to swing down south to pick up one. Prices on one around the Hampton Roads (757) are ridiculious.

    Great deal!

I looked used but the just like you saw that the price difference was not much. I got my DC LB TRD sport for $28000 and have 3.0% for 5 years.

    I just got it!

I bought a Tacoma a couple months ago thinking the same thing. This forum ruined that idea.

Just go to the build threads area and spend some time browsing, no worries, you'll sell yourself on a lot of mods that you'll have to do I bet. Before long you'll be way away from stock, I promise.

Also, congratulations on the new truck!

PS, I know my signature shows a stock truck, I just haven't changed my signature yet. And I don't have a build thread.

Exact same reason I went with brand new. I was looking at 05-09 Tacoma Double Cab. And they were still going for 20-25k. I paid 28,500 for my DC Long Bed, TRD Sport.
