As many of you saw my thread the other day, I did purchase my first tacoma! It's a 2009 prerunner double cab 4x4 v6 long bed TRD Sport. It has limited slip diff, Leer shell with full velcro carpeting and lighting. Rear view camera. Bfg 265/70/17 all terrain ta ko tires. Black rhino hard alloy rims. Seems to have a slight lift up front. Bilstein shocks. Tow package. Pioneer avh-x3800bhs stereo. It has 92,000 miles on it, one owner vehicle. It seems to be in excellent shape. No rust underneath, looks like a new vehicle under. Dealer changed the oil, and trans oil, and serviced air conditioning, put in new air filter. It drives straight, stops good, shifts good. Extremely fun to drive and the v6 is very snappy! I can't thank you all enough for talking me into this truck, I'm super stoked.

What are some things I should look out for on this year tacoma? Any modifications that are beneficial? I am a machinist so I can make pretty much anything. Can I route the back up camara to my pioneer head unit? I plan on a grill change, exhaust, intake, maybe wheel spacers. Trd black floor mats, possibly seat covers are there any good ones out there?

Anything at all or advice or questions please let me know. This forum seams pretty awesome so far. Looking forward to all your responses. Also included a picture of original window sticker

Your window sticker says it's a 4X2? It is a very nice truck though!

Pre runners are 2wd op. Also I would get a set of weather techs over the factory mats.

Truck was listed at 19,998. I ended up getting it out the door for 20,500 exactly. They are also replacing both front head light assemblies as the current running light lenses are cracked

Congrats and welcome to TW. Nice truck, maybe hit the headlights with some cleaner, they look a little foggy but maybe it's the pics. Enjoy your truck...

Research this forum for mods and info. If you are thinking of doing it, likely someone already has. Enjoy, TW is great, but encourages spending on your truck.

Congrats. What's your goal with intake and exhaust? If you want more power you probably won't be happy with it until its boosted so look into a supercharger.

Before you spend any money on mods check the frame for rust. Looks like the truck is lifted...do you know what suspension is on it?

Just looking at other prerunner tacomas the rear doesn't look lifted beside the taller tires i have. Someone mentioned a leveling kit possibly on the front end? Will intake improve the throttle response at all? Exhaust will be for a better sound

Oh no I knew I didn't have a 4x4. I just wrote what the window sticker had. I'm perfectly happy with 2wd for what I do

I don't think 09 has the limited slip, which is too bad.

    Hang on to your wallet...
I'd consider Huskyliner or Weathertech floor liners in black, instead of the TRD mats, but that's just my opinion...
