Just bushings or new shocks?

Yesterday when I was lubing my u-joints I noticed a significant gap in the lower bushing of one of my rear shocks.

My leafs are also worn out and due for replacement sometime this summer. I expect to remain stock height, but you never know.

So my question is, should I try to remove and replace the existing shocks (new shocks would come with new bushings I think right?)

Or should I just replace the bushings.

rear shocks don't seem that expensive, so I wonder if its worth the trouble of just swapping out the bushings.

Truck has 95k, the shocks only about 50k. They were replaced by Toyota when the frame was replaced 4 years ago. Of course the leafs were replaced then too, and they are shot, so I think the prior owner was over loading a lot.

With bad leafs and bushings, its hard to know how well the shocks are working.

    Thanks for your input.

Your better of just replacing the shocks. New shocks will come with new bushings
