Hello All, I have been researching the 2nd and 3rd gen for some time now as my wife refuses to drive our F150. Yeah, I hear you -I should be happy about that. Our other option is her trying to stuff our kids bikes into our leased Fusion. So she has been eye-balling Tacomas as a replacement for her lease. God bless her. Well here is my thought for you all to comment on or add counterpoints or troll. I am considering a gen 3 only because the resale on a gen 2 is so strong, i.e. 2009 DC with 90k for $23-25 range. So i may just go new, for so many reasons. I would consider leasing a 2016 or even trading in my 2014 FX4 as I don't need it's tow capabilities any longer. Two Toyota dealerships have offered me $35k for my truck but I have also considered the hassle of a private part sale. Any thoughts or other ideas?

I've sold my last 2 cars on Craigslist. It was very easy but that being said you need to be very careful. The difference between trade and private party makes the hassle of private party very much worth it though. I made about 3k more than the dealer was offering in trade.

I have had decent luck selling cars on ebay. Full of low-ballers and dealers, but it is super easy and requires little time on your part.

image.jpg image.jpg image.jpg Thanks guys, you guys are both right about the hassles and BS associated with CL and eBay. I just have to weigh how much it is worth it to me to be able to drive it into and a dealership and toss them the keys. Something to sleep on.

Hey Launch 21, is that name in reference to a Chris Craft? I have a Launch25. She is beautiful.

No. I had a supra wakeboard boat. I made this account before I sold my boat.
