Thanks for the add. Just starting to research the potential of Tacoma's now and it brought me to your forum. My goal is to create a dirtbag adventure setup for two to live out of for extended periods of time (several weeks if not months). I want it to be as comfortable as possible if staying in designated camping area, but yet incognito and functional if spending the night in the Wallmart parking lot. At the initial visualization stage of determining what is right for me, I will probably buy new in the next few months. With my vehicles, I am way more focused on function over fashion. As far as modifications, I can usually afford to buy what I want, but tend to just get what I need and whenever possible, I try to do the work myself. Been reading threads here for a couple of days and appreciate the input. I will be retiring from my job in about 30 months at which time I plan to do extended trips in the vehicle overland through the USA, Canada, and Central America. I would like to have my setup perfected by then. My current adventure wagon is a 2012 Subaru Outback and I look forward to the potential the Tacoma offers (I had Toyota pickups BC (before children) and look forward to what they offer again).

Welcome to TW. Lots of helpful info around here, but also some that will lead you down a side road. For living in the truck for an extended period, I'd definately say DCLB.
