    I think its meant to be that way.. Whether its acceptable or not..

    This just another area that Toyota tries to save a few bucks... like putting drums on a $35k+ truck when all their competition has discs and the customers are all ok with paying the extra for it.
    You would think that Toyota would look at areas that they can the most perceived value without looking like they tried to save $2.65 on paint or other components.

    My wife's bright orange Subaru which was made in Japan is worse. They don't even completely paint under the hood or engine compartment. Looks like a bunch of overspray.
